I told krill that we wanted yes barbs and no map trading so it should be set correctly for us.

Kmap trading should be disabled by the fact that no tech enabled it just like in pb18. Please check that writing does not enable map trading.

Maybe separating the map trading from the barb setting would make sense .

Whatever happened with no map trading, the no barbs setting needs map trading disabled to make people get punished for not scouting and farmers gambits.

Double checking that we aren't starting till monday? I have lost the track of a start date in this...

(I have a lot of family stuff at the weekend so would prefer that, questionable whether I will be able to get on)

So before I go ahead and do it, is there anyone else that has already installed their upgrade from Win8 to Win10? My upgrade is available to be scheduled for the install, and I don't want to have it screw up my being able to play these PB games if something is weird with how it workers with Civ.

My advice would be to put your civ installation onto a USB stick and get a copies of windows 7 to reinstall at short notice.

My advice would be to wait until nearer next July when the upgrade expires and upgrade after someone else found and fixed all the bugs already.

Unless you hate Win8...
