So help me god GJ if you put a bunch of random peaks out there...

Well first I'd laugh cause it'd be hilarious. lol

But then i'd be annoyed. Or something.

That would have been an amazing troll move. Filing that one away for future use....dancing
All the extra astro land should be pigs on peaks.

...stay tuned, Brick's not the only one who left a mark on this map. smoke dancing

Did Elkad lose all his Workers at some point or something? So much of his land is still unimproved...

They had too long of a walk back from central Wyoming and were eaten by coyotes or something.

Poor mackoti. No one suffers like he suffers, in every game. wink

Mackoti's right that REM is gaining a lot of cities with minimal effort, but he apparently hasn't realize that REM himself is only holding most of his cities with a handful of outdated ancient age units! Attack him if you're worried about him running away, before he can consolidate in 20 turns!

Update from the AI deathmatch, as of turn 889 (July, 2244 AD) the score is now:

HAK - 8964
Grimace - 7836
Borsche 7815

Everyone else is dead. From reviewing the event log it looks like Borsche AI and Grimace AI ended their forever-war for about 12 turns, restoring the world to peace from July 2179 - July 2185 AD. Then Borsche declared war on Grimace again, took a city, immediately lost it again, and left the world burning up until the present turn, for a steady ~120 turns of continuous warfare between them. Meanwhile HAK isn't at war, and, worse, is at pleased diplo status with both of them. Does anyone know if Alexander AI (HAK) can declare at pleased? Seems more likely than either of the other two AIs declaring a second war while still embroiled in a first. At any rate, this game seems destined to go on and on unless a second war breaks out somewhere.

HAK's power level is nowhere near competitive with either of the other two civs' power, so if a war could be declared some headway could be made, especially if it was by Grimace. However, Grimace and Borsche seem content to continually nuke each other and destroy huge naval fleets, with no cities changing hands for a very long time. Borsche still controls his entire continent, and from what I can see it looks like there are no remaining cities anywhere on the map where both Borsche and Grimace control cities on the same landmass. So all the islands are either Borsche/HAK or Grimace/HAK (or not shared), so the only way these two civs can fight each other is by naval invasion. And I think we all know how well the AI handles that....hence....

It's a good thing these guys are annihilating each other's units, otherwise they'd all end up being disbanded. cry

FFS guys build some wealth! smokesmokesmoke

I doubt the AI costs equal what is shown here (human player losing AI discounts, etc.) but it's clear from the event log that the AIs are losing units to strike, even with their discounts. Instead of building so many units and losing them they should build some wealth and keep the units furthest afield (i.e., those on the attack) in play...but there's no sense critiquing the AI, is there? This factor alone is almost enough to make me wonder if further conquest will really be possible, as units on the attack are getting disbanded to the tune of 5, 6, or 7 units a turn in recent turns. banghead

Anyway, this game needs a second front opened in the worst way since it's pretty clear that Grimace and Borsche are too evenly matched considering the need for amphibious assault for one to ever extinguish the other as things stand. If Grimace could attack HAK he'd surely overwhelm HAK's comparatively insubstantial forces and be able to hold his entire continent. With that land added to his existing dominance of the islands (Borsche's ONLY islands are a number of one tile islands) Grimace would end up having overwhelming advantages in every output category. This dominance would be the only chance to overcome the AI's ineptitude at executing an invasion against such a large opponent. Even so, I'm not confident we'll see the end of this game, even if another front gets opened somewhere to weaken one of the participants. In any case, though, I'll let the game run on a while longer. The AIs may yet surprise us.... popcorn

Just saw this...it's a real gem:

Borsche is blockading almost all of Grimace's port cities facing the outside of the continent. Grimace AI, I assume in an attempt to break the blockade and resist Borsche's naval superiority on the oceans, has built an absolute Armageddon armada...that has no access to the external ocean where Borsche holds the edge. Instead, in the event Grimace and HAK ever come to blows, I guess Grimace will have HAK outnumbered about 1000:1 on this inner sea. Meanwhile, Borsche will keep blockading and starving around 30 cities facing the outer ocean. This game is great. smoke

Yeah, I don't think the AI will ever manage to gain any ground attacking another at tech parity who controls an entire huge continent. Even if they somehow were able to capture a city, they'd immediately lose it long before they would reinforce properly or take any adjacent.

I'm surprised global warming hasn't turned the whole map into desert. Was that removed from Krill Mod?
