Thought for the day: After finishing a forge in AF, I now have the possibility of running an engineer. What is the advantage of popping a low odds engineer and possibly lowering the odds of a GS slightly?
MoM. Obsoletes at Nationalism now, so is it worth it? Well, if I trigger two golden ages, I spend the 200 point GP for an extra 8 turns of GA so yeah, possibly? Music GA for 1st golden age, Engineer for MoM, 300, 400, 500 for Astro and Philo, 600 and 700 for second golden age. 300 is easy, can get that from a lot of cities, and out of that motley bunch that can grab the 300 I can probably starve one of them for the 400. Then Watership Down for 500, Nightshade for the 600 or even 700 and use R101 for the 600. Hell, I could probably force the third GA and then finish Nationalism.
Odds of this happening is 5%, but only Couer has Calendar so I think the odds of losing a GE rush to a coin toss are lower still.

Pop great person eot. Pop numbers recovering, up to 11.5% of world pop, crop yield is about 30 of over average opponent and 75 from top but still ranked 6th. Calendar due eot, at 60% so that I can take CoL next turn in 1. And Couer offered peace to me for 1g high I accepted with dtay returning a fish for fish deal.
Right now the plan is to grow and prep for the GA. This is not a window to kill DZ, I need to grab Astro and if I can time the GA to get into Vassalage and Theo at the end, and then I can use Astro as the threat to keep Joey away rather than just using an artist bomb as the threat.
Thoth, if something happens to me due to a Hurricane, and you want to, I have no problem with you subbing in for a bit. Only if you want to and I'm incommunicado, please don't feel like you have to, if you don't want to feel under no obligation to do anything but mock my play.

I think you need to prise the ; key off the keyboard and swap it with the '.

Got the GS. Not gonna lie, little bit surprised by that, and even a little disappointed because grabbing the MoM would have been nice but I really can't complain.
I'm up to fifth in crop yield now and only 57 of the lead so things are looking up.
