Hmm so Serdoa is warned that an attack is incoming, scouts out. That action then leads to Com calling off the attack. Depending on whether Serdoa sends those "missing knights" towards someone else now, Scoots AI diplo might have serious consequences for some poor sod. I thought "you" had decided to drop those tricks, or was that only the alphabet soup version?
Serdoa was less thrilled about the citytrade, but that was at least returning a city in revolt for a metal source in war time.

I think, Serdoa and Commodore at some point will be at each others throats and will drop out from the race to winning this game. Of Slow and Plako I would generally give to Plako my preference. Actually, I think, Slow's only chance is beating Plako to Astronomy (which seems likely) and attacking Plako with galleons and knights. But such attack will be difficult to pull off and Slow isn't going to do it anyway... Not sure about his decision to capture Scooter's island, doesn't seem to be worth the effort.

Yeah, I was wondering about that ... I thought in a non-diplo game you weren't allowed to attempt any kind of communication.

Whoops, looks like Comms decided to double-down on builder-mode. Maybe plako isn't gonna run away with it just yet.

I would love to see scooter stage a comeback and somehow "beat" Commodore, Although this does not look like its going to happen. ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) Also something I realized, if u Scooter and Pind had decided to stay and fought Commodore, they would have almost guaranteed Commodore's trip out as well. With India being so nearby I could easily see them becoming more technologically advanced than Commodore and wiping them out easily. Though how things panned out was much more interesting

Granted, I'm very new to the culture here, but I feel the "scripted" thing for Zulu to do would have been "fight to the bitter end, so at least our conqueror's snowball won't be so large." I really like what Zulu actually did - it was out of the box, audacious, and gave them a shot of at least finishing higher than last. It only worked as well as it did because India was unprepared, but a small % chance of surviving is better than a certain demise.

I don't know, I think it might. Serdoa hasn't shown much of any inclination to fight Commodore. Commodore might be creating the enemy he fears by his series of provocative actions - intended to stave off that very foe! Like tilting at a windmill, only to be struck by one of its arms in passing.
