Krill, Team Badass just saved your empire, and you're not going to join the attack? Seems like a one-chance missed opportunity to damage the runaway... with Pindicator's hindu shrine conquered, you are the best logical target for dtay. As soon as he gets peace from Harry dtays rifles will mass on your border. Why not do some actual damage (even if only to dtay's economy) while you have your only chance?

They are correct that if they join in on the attack on dtay, they cannot profit by it, they can only ensure someone else profits by it. Dtay might go down but he would take Krovice with him. So, that would amount to kingmaking in favour of OH/Fintourist and BGN. If they would prefer to use this opportunity to attack Ruff instead, they aren't wrong to make that choice.

Well, a large part of the question is whether 'runaway' is a correct description, no? Increased known-civ bonuses mean that Krill has a reasonable chance to catch up as long as he's not being conquered first, I think. And as long as he can get enough land to be within spitting distance of the leaders.

In BtS, I'd think that Dtay would continue to run away, and it'd be now or never, but RtR means there's a lot of game left.

Wow, ten generals in a turn. Crazy.

Such a sad disconnect. Finn, good try, but those dogs just don't want to pile.

Dtay is offering peace deals and sooner or later Badass will beg off... and krill is once again in dtays crosshairs. ESPECIALLY if krill is embroiled in an overseas conquest vs ruff. I just don't see Krill's logic working out past the immediate time while dtay is tied down.

Also humorous, krill's writing a dozen posts before my quote about how the map prevents relevant wars: no one else seems to have a problem fighting wars, including the current first and second place trans.

Doesn't look like Krovice have moved their stack yet: there's still hope. hammer

Dtay power dive + Pindi city take back + couple more city razes from team badass might move them off of their sadly rational neutrality.

It's weird. Krill's syllogism seems to be:
1) Naval war is impossible
2) Therefore both Finharry-dtay and Dtay-pindicator are fake
3) Therefore it's mano y mano, and you can't do that with equal power.

And no evidence of 2 is sufficient to make him doubt 1. Not even planning a naval war of his own makes him believe that other people might do that too.

Maybe it's his busyness with work. No time to fight a war properly is a good reason to not fight it at all. Krill being Krill, I don't know if he could admit to himself that it's a personal reason rather than something objective. So obviously those grapes are sour.

All that said, I still think maybe he's right. Even if Dtay gets peace with FinHarry, he'll have to garrison the port cities heavily and build a navy in case they change their minds again (or want another GG wink). He'll still have to spend his main focus on Pindicator and maybe Cyneheard-Dreylin. I could see that giving Krill enough chance to double his land, maybe, while Dtay's looking at only +80%, even if he kills both Pindi and Cyneheard.

It's not like this is his only chance at a dogpile: I bet if Krill comes back in 20 turns and invades Dtay then, Finharry still join in. They'll have finished off Azza and grown up my ex-territory, and their only routes to further expansion will be Dtay or BGN, most likely. This assumes that dtay, after his setbacks, still manages to conquer Pindicator and Cyneheard, but I think that's a fair assumption if his other borders are peaceful.

This is ignoring the gold from those shrines dtay has though...

It is interesting to see the big differences in civs here. AT and yuri fighting a war with maces and knights while OH & dtay field rifles, cavs and grens.

Usually the weakers ones get annihilated by now but this game is so big that the different levels are still existing side by side and fight their wars.
