This FK'n barb city that spawned BASICALLY IN VISION (ignores other barb rules for whatever fun reason) messes with my dotmap, so i built a bunch of chariots b4 i had copper up. 4 chariots (with 2 following it) didnt kill a single archer. 1 flawless loss. . . SO i have vultures going up there, which so long as they dont have horrible luck should clear it out by the time my settler pops. I have a TON of cities to settle, and maybe Nauf can chime in and give me ideas on what to potentially cash in the Oracle on. (if we get it, Gavagai has been in a war for a decent chunk of the game... and i have NO clue what the others are doing) I was thinking Fued for the tech $ and for security plus slightly earlier knights. I figure we can stomp the field by getting to knights 25-30t before others at this rate. ESPECIALLY if we can land the oracle. On pace to get monarchy + writing done in the next 6t or so, and oracle should be roughly the same maybe 1-2t more.

If oracle fails, the gold can go towards an earlier currency, and probably grabbing HBR to deal with the barbs.

Any questions?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

6-8t or less till oracle falls. Either by me, or someone else.

Have you decided what you are actually going to take with Oracle?

Fued. Finished writing, going to be finishing archery EOT. Will be all setup to be able to whip Longbows to defend while we expand. Probably going to push for a (early for me) knight rush. Archery-HBR-currency rush- IW-metal-mach-guilds.

Dont have much of an ETA on that, and im certainly not going to be breaking any records...  UNLESS that tribal village can give techs that arent in the first row? (13t away from getting whatever mystery gift it decides.. probably a map cuz luck) See, if that tribal village gives math/iw/metal... that would be a pretty big boost. HBR is needed to clear out some annoying anti-melee samurai/mace that my AGG vultures are of little use towards. Also for stables in my 3ish handpicked cities for mass knight production. While im comfortable in security with longbows soon, they dont attack out very well if someone were to come kick my sand castle. Magic caught upto us in cities, and we are NOT the biggest land holder despite being CRE and having a religion. HOWEVER, we are #1 in gnp/food/prod. GNP by a large margin, but idk how much of that is actually just culture atm.

I fully expect a military/threat response when/if we pop an oracled fued, and start settling multiple cities again.

Huts can definitely provide all sorts of techs, and CtH I do not believe changed this behavior at all.

I think this is correct. Someone got Astronomy in PB74.

If it goes by that order AT all, looks like ill get Sailing. Not THE worst thing (better than a map) but not what id choose. Will probably still pop a map.

OH, and we did land oracle and grabbed Fued as planned. That same turn Magic passed us (briefly) in food. On turn roll we re-captured the food lead and i dont think we will be slowing down anytime super soon.

That is just the order the techs appear in the XML, the game will select a random one for which you have the pre-reqs.

Looks like there was a fight at least. Maybe the war IS semi-hot?

Fighting with Magic for 1st in food. Should start to blow past him soon.

Settled the Silver city, and the barb city flipped to us. Apparently Magic's city popped its borders THIS turn(?) as i see a smidge of his culture on the city tile. THAT could have been fun. Sadly we only got a free archer rather than a longbow... but ill take it. Magic DOES have a galley within 2t of the city, which could be loaded with a couple immortals. HOWEVER, as he appears to be in a hot war with Gavagai, i would think he wouldnt want to antagonize me. Regardless, im running more or less max food to get to size 4 and whip that longbow ASAP. Yes immortals get a bonus towards archery units.. but a Longbow should still defend well right?

Have a settler/vulture/longbow arriving at the clam/lake crab spot to seal that side of the border in 2t. Magic did settle in a "better" for us spot, however it DOES kinda suck for him once i settle my city as it kinda locks his out of any food... But at least he has a fur and hamlet coast! Lol. My fur is currently blocked by an annoying barb city that i have to go out of my way to raze before Dreylin captures it. Fun shit. Although thats probably... 30t away from now. Its getting closer and closer to the barbs being unleashed. Cant wait.
