Removing the Arcane trait from Amurites is interesting. With the cave of ancestors and arcane lacuna, they honestly don't really need it.
Quote:I really don't like Grigori gameplay. They can leverage their Adventurers for an early game rush or a late game blitz; but even with Adaptive, they can't take Summoner, so the early game rush is best.
Grigori can, and probably should, do both. Ardor and adventurers guilds ensure that a large contingent of adventurers can be rapidly churned out en masse. Do that 26 turns before you need the archmages, and you should easily have enough ready without having to stockpile any from the early game.

Selrahc: I'm not seeing it. You get at most +7 adventurer points per turn base?
Please explain how many adventurers you can get in 26 turns, and how, for me to confirm it. (And yes, if it sounds good i'll be using it in my game
Edit: Ah ok got it. I was thinking that Selrahc said use the 26 turns to get Adventurers, but now i realize that it's 26 turns for the adventurers to enter archmage status.

Selrahc means that 26 turns afte the last adventurer is born, you'll have an archmage. You only need 4 Adventurers, and they won't all necessarily come from the same city. Though getting 134*3+67 = 469 GPP isn't exactly easy.

Arendel honestly isn't much (if any) of an upgrade on Capria but I guess there's not many Spi combinations available. Jonas would be funny but the barbarian trait is probably too much of a handicap.

You know, another way of balancing the civs would have been for us just to run a few snake picks ourselves then pick whichever list we liked the look of the most.

We can do that too, but we'd need to put some restrictions on what to pick, otherwise we'd end up with the Usual Suspects. We have some time before map will be done, so if there's enough interested people we can go for it
I also agree with uberfish, than about the Arendel/Capria comparison. One last idea about Bannor I'd like to float : Eonion Logos? Spi Bannor are the boring usual approach, Phi Bannor, with bulbing and more golden ages might be actually interesting.

Well, you theoretically culd do it alone after working out guidelines, but 2 or probably 3 people would be preferable. And the only guidelines you'd need are those that have already been used for putting the list above together: No Illians, no clan, specific leaders banned. It would be a good test of how reasonable the list you've put together is, by comparing the lists that the "players" produce by the faux snakepick.

I think the ban lists are something like:
civs: Clan Illians Malakim Ljosalfar Calabim Lanun
leaders: Varn Flauros Hannah Kandros Cardith Rohanna

Sounds vaguely right to my unskilled eyes.

You know what? I've run some mock snakepicks in private, and results come up with power focused metagame or just screwed up balance. FFH leader pool is too shallow.
Since noone opposed the lineup we came with, I'm sending that ( with Arendel Bannor ) to the players to give them time to think on how they want to play.
