I'm a big fan of players jumping into ranked and finding their elo. I think it's really beneficial to your own play to recognise the quality of players you're playing with/against, and how you can improve from that level.
Good work on the support carry; my experience at that Elo, having risen through it, is that wards are disproportionally strong because people have such poor map awareness. They won't take account of people being mia, and won't take into account 'dude potential' virtually at all. It's a lot easier if you have champs visible on the minimap.
Also, good job picking Taric against an AD-heavy team! That probably made a huge difference by itself.
