[SPOILERS] Sorry, we don't post on topic!

In the whole history of La Liga, there has only been 9 different winners, since the competition started in 1929, so it's not something so recent. But, in recent years, things have gotten even more ridiculous. The last time I team other than Real Madrid or Barcelona won La Liga was 2003/2004 (Valencia - which it's a broken team right now). Together, Madrid and Barça have 54 La Liga titles, while all the other teams together have 28.

Hey, at least it's better than England, where only two teams can win and tactics for the majority of the teams (basically the 16 that can't get UEFA CL spots) consist of, and I quote, "kick the ball as high as you can, and see how many opposition players you can nobble before the shagging thing bounces".

I've actually gotten sick of association football in recent years, and have switched back to watching rugby (a Limerick man not liking rugby, that's unpossible!), Gaelic Football (because I can actually play that somewhat), and hurling (because, well, it's beautiful).

As regards the game, what's the plan anyways?

I've also gotten a bit sick of football in the last years. Yeah, I know, it may not seem like it, but it is. I used to watch all the games from my club (and a lot from otehr brazilian teams and from Libertadores), I watched some matches from EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga and Calcio. I watched a lot of UCL games. Nowadays, I watch most the games from my team and some UCL ones, when I can get them to fit my schedule.

It's a combination of a lot of factors. I dislike the current trend of fair-fair-fair play that I'm seeing around. Yes, I'm probably an idiot for thinking this way. But, for me, while I don't want any kind of violence to happen in whatever sport, things are getting a bit exhaggerated. The more physical and brave players can't play anymore, because everytime you get near a player like Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar or Robben, a foul is awarded (not always in Neymar's case, because brazilian are divers). I hate the Barcelona style of playing football (which is the holy one right now) and how they players are a bunch of wussies defended by the referees. Of course Iniesta and Xavi have 98% of completed passes - when they see they'll lose the ball, just do the throw-butt-behind-and-dive movement - 100% chance for a foul to be awarded.

I really loved seeing Bayern and Borussia playing last season. They were teams that had technical capalities, but also a lot bravery (that "shove" that Müller gave on Alba in the match against Barcelona was beautiful). Well, this season Bayern seems to have signed every good player that played in the Bundesliga and they hired the manager that will end up killing football, Guardiola. So, back to the same old, same old.

The european club I like watching the most right now is Atletico de Madrid.

Besides, there are too many videogame-fans discussing football right now that probably never attended a game in a stadium (and a lot that probably don't even watch actual football games). People that think Hazard is the best player in the world, just because he has the highest potential in Fottball Manager 2014 or something like that. People that thought for a long time that Fernando Torres was an awesome player, just because he was good in PES. People that think Balotelli is a good player, just because he's good in FIFA (probably the most overrated player in the world this guy).

Anyway, that's just a rant of a guy that is becoming old and doesn't accept changes... Here's hoping that the World Cup will be exciting.

I've been enjoying watching American Football a lot lately, though the season is so short. It's nice to see a game where some contact is allowed. Basketball also got higher up my list.

Regarsing the game, all we have is that one screenshot. There's only so much we can discuss about scout movement (though you can argue that we didn't even discuss that properly).

I have a time-saving tip for you. If you're having trouble finding a good match for someone in the game, just do me instead. I might sub for them!

Opponent Analysis: Jowy

Let's have another guest analysis, this time by Sullla. PBEM 54 Spoilers:

(January 19th, 2014, 09:29)Sullla Wrote: I see that Jowy's metagaming is still the same as ever. Declaring war yet again to exchange war chariots for spears because.... why? If Jowy can ever curb his appetite for random, meaningless bloodletting, I think he could win one of these games. Still waiting for that day, however. smile

And here's Jowy by himself. PB 17 Spoilers:

(February 20th, 2014, 05:40)Jowy Wrote: Honestly I'm fucking tired of people demanding cities from me after I win a battle against them. This will be the THIRD game I have on-going where I will be stuck in an eternal war with a bitter neighbor.

Civ 5 PBEM 3 Spoilers:

(February 13th, 2014, 12:42)Jowy Wrote: Jkaen and Azza haven't updated their threads since November last year, and neither seems to care about the game anymore. Of course I can't tell if they do have some plans in motion, but Rome really should have used his Legions and Ballistas to take on Meiz, and Azza should be sending those Chu-Ko-Nu's towards Meiz, instead of being locked in an eternal war with me, just because he was too stubborn to move a single unit out of the way, and too stubborn to accept peace without ridiculous concessions from me. If half the players don't care, and the winner is decided, as much as I've enjoyed playing this game, maybe it'd be best to call it and start a new one.

People shouldn't be angry because I attacked them, they should actually be grateful!

Totally agree with you on Real Madrid, Ichabod. Lesser of two evils, and all. But really, eff La Liga. Right now European football as a whole is not very interesting, or at least the major leagues aren't.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
