Not directly related, just commenting on other lines previously written here, what is your new theory about civ relating to Currency and what have you done to have a bit of fun since you miscounted your army? Hope you're having fun.

I think he has like 5-6 to mine 12.I always belived like old scholl that building weath is a subotimal strategy for developing an empire and you should do it just if you are forced too and not build an entire strategy counting on that.After pb13 my optics realy chached on that and because of that a wonder like mids became far less stronger then was before, you can gain science without beeing forced to build libraries and risking on the wonder.Becasue of that mine became a far more power improvement and very useful for example a grass mine is near same strong like a rep specealist.

what you need for this strtegy?Is not everithibg very elaborated in my book righ now, but you need more workers cause you dont rely so much on whip, you need those hils when build wealth,you need 2-3-4 cotages cities with libraries , at least 1 academy if for rxample philo you can have even 2 if you have a good enough second city for cotages.



More then that you need a lot of discipline and long term plannning becasue you want curency sooner then later so you cant aford that many cities so you can be prepared for example every city to have near finished and worker , a setler and a military unit form the moment you get curency.I know is not that easy like banal startegies with coatges but i think can be realy powerful ig you have time to plan and excute, becasue your cities must build wealth not all same time but rotate so you can maintenn you research as long as posible at 100%.

What you gain this way? You can get monarchy in 3-4 turns after you get curency as well fast calendar if you have calendar resource or a rush for literature wonder artist misc and you can keep your cities growing.

Unfortunately i think this strtegies work from some traits:
Org, your expensises are low get afst Ch,lighoses, and latter factories so you dont need invest that much in building wealth.
pro-from tow- 5 production tiles and 50% on workers so you have spare time to build wealth.
Imp- as well becasue your setler are heaper so far more easy to get out, and getting mines worked makes even better.
Ind-but i am not sure is taht good, fast fiforges and you get a bonus on producing wealth.As well less time to get national wonders and you can eventualy even oracle amthematics so you get curency faster,just making gueses about this.

I discovered 3 capitold and land near them till now and everyone got far beter land then me, i have no less then 9 hills on my capitol and 2 , 5 food tiles when everyone has 6 food tiles or even 7 , in case for agr 8(but i dont count that), and the land near by is beter and they have more land , was this with intention to gave a 'handicap' to good players.
Some of players got players got near them loads of hapines while i had to plant a foodles city to get some ivory and which is again far away.

Others got islands near by , i got just some strange islands one tile with sheep and pig on it i think.To get some good land for me i planted 5 tiles from gavagai capitol dont think that hapened to someone else.That was actualy gavagai land and was the only one which was good.

Can i win from this 'imposible situation' all depends on the Gaw he got so much land to epand: 19 tiles to retep capitol and loads in the other direction while i got 11 and 12 tiles to others capitol and course less land there.
How that i am first in score , i wonder that myself too...

I like the theory, it rings true to what I've felt about building wealth. But you're right that it would be very hard to pull off. You need some high production cities and sometimes the map (especially RB maps) don't give you those. At least, the one time I did it was pb7 and I had several high production cities I could swap building wealth between.

But yeah, I'm excited to see how it is working out for you and what your thoughts on it are after playing through.

RB maps generally have low production because people tend to forget about hills when making a map manually.

Until now building wealth worked very good for me, with the land and the capitol which i got, not a very friendly one , if you compare with what i seen at others players.The thing is playing this way you risk to fall behind so you need to capitalize somehow the advantage you take and that involves loads of risk, luckily is a game and i am ready to take those risks.

Gaw is playing avery good game and in a way even pink doted me but is ok i dont wanna fifgt him i have beter neighbours for that: retep which has very juicy land and gavagay which has good land as well, so in the end map maker wasnt bad he gave me good land near by and forced me to aquire that by giving me some not that prety land.
