I also would suggest lowering espionage mission cost a tiny bit so that Espionage economy would become a bit more viable. Now the costs are doubled and no discounts from religion. I think multiplier 1.5-1.75 would make it something to consider.

I've not adopted slavery at all so not a single whip in this game. I'm also in trouble concerning happiness resources so I probably had to skip also Nationhood and just rely on big standing army keeping me safe (You also probably noticed my Temple builds). There are too many Incense in this map to get it traded and I've very little else to offer.

btw. Dreylin et al is the main reason why dtay is so strong. While they could settle 1 ring of cities towards dtay. Dtay was able to get 4 rings towards them.

I do. Plako had it bad with barbs, but not quite that bad. I remember barbs running around with rifles in that one.

I was going to log in, but annoyingly Gavagai is again bloking me out of the game when I've my best playing time so I might as well just rant. For me this game starts to soon be in a position where I won't be competitive. I've full visibility on Commodore's land it is totally bizarre why he decided to ruin my game and leave dtay unaffected and runaway with this game. He has put 0 pressure on that border while wasting countless resources on my border. I managed to handle his culture bomb with reasonable losses, but his military buildup has forced me to build lot of military and adopt military civics instead of economy that will kill the game for me. I guess he thinks daty deserves a win here or they have signed these silly sheep to sheep or 40 gold meaning 40T of NAP thingies. I'm not gonna sign up to any game where those are allowed in the future. Make only trade deals without any kind of hidden messages. That is how I feel these games should be played.
