GULAG was founded in 1930 and was the central administrative apparatus responsible for several hundred "labour colonies" located throughout the Soviet Union. To date, there is no remotely precise count of the total number of prisoners who went through imprisonment in the GULAG system, albeit for most years of its existence, over a million individuals were incarcerated.

Great, you have reached GULAG manager level 2! Don't mind all that gloomy business, the enemies of the revolution must not just suffer, but contribute actively to the progress of humanity! In the degenerate tsarist system, you had opressive "prisons", the walls of which have been smashed by dynamite and workerman's fist. These labour-correctional colonies are a clear sign of how far we have come under the guidance of social scientific theories of Marx and Lenin.

Now, you have the GULAG, you must create actual colonies! Where would you put them? Look at the arrow on the screen!

The sandbox might be set to standard world size, rather than huge as it is in the live setting. That was something we forgot to set until right before the game went live the first time, and the sandbox mirrors the main map's settings. You can fix that by opening up the sandbox WorldBuilder save in notepad, ctrl-f for "size" and changing "world size=WORLDSIZE_STANDARD" to "world size=WORLDSIZE_HUGE"

Yes, so did I. You can't build one for scouting unless it could theoretically make nets.

Yes, so did I. You can't build one for scouting unless it could theoretically make nets.

Interesting, I didn't know that. I'll have to add a fish nearby to the dummy AI I put in the corner. Thanks Mardoc.
