I had a weird thought based on observation.




The greenish and the pink arrows mark the same distance and similar (maybe a bit mirrored) land ends. What is the chance that Dantski's capitol is actually just 2-3 turns sailing his direction? Is there an info on how big the map is in tiles width and height?

I think you are very close to reality. Though direct sailing can actually take more time if he has same peninsula below his cap.

So we see Ottoman's graphics and let's try to find out how is he doing. It took me a while to solve all the puzzle, but finally I managed to do it, though there are still things that are hardly explainable.

His tech path:
T00 - The wheel
T00 - Agriculture
T10 - Animal Husbandry (this is weird because he must have oasis start to tech it so fast)
T16 - Mining
T28 - Bronse Working
T34 - Mysticism
T39 - Masonry

Production:
T12 - Worker (2 hammer start also)
T20 - Warrior 1
T25 - Worker
T32 - Settler
T41 - StoneHenge (for this he had to plant his 2nd city on stone and prepare chops right before Masonry, there is no other way to build it having just 5 hammers of production in cap)
T43 - Warrior
So he has 2 workers, 2 warriors, roaded 2nd city and 2-3 tiles of improvements.

I re-checked few things in my calculations and realised that Dantski must have 3 workers, this is the only reason why he had so much food in cap but never grown above 2 before turn 42. His cities were also 3 and 1 (4 and 1 this turn), not 3 and 2 as I thought.

This turn we found Old Freddy, Frederick of Egypt. He cant see us yet.

After long and heated discussion, we agreed on attacking our newly discovered land neighbor Old Freddy, who is situated NW from us behind what happened to be indeed isthmus between player zones. Using our superior galleys, we landed 2 chariots in striking distance declaring war to Egypt. Egypt have copper connected, but we believe they have no Hunting, so no spears for them. And we believe our attack comes as utter surprise.

Surprisigly, for us this time, Old Freddy declared war to Zanth too after seeing our declaration. I think this is something like a cry for help or even more precise, attempt to spit on our conquest, inviting another neighbor to conquer him instead of us.

With good luck, we were able to take his capitol with our first chariot with minor hit on HP. Granary survived and it is size 2 city, so we lean for keeping it for now.
