A volunteer stepped forward... Let's put all those freshly built Sacrificial Altars up to good use!

In the city ironically called Opportunism. Well, I've built 2 sacrificial alters now, but the first one was technically captured. The turn reports will probably continue until the end of the game, unless all hell breaks loose in RL.
Turn 137 - How much do Pingo hate me?
So this turn I moved my units forward, but first I scouted That can be handled, the spear is the most dangerous unit and I have about 50/50 odds to either kill it or retreat with a C2 shock HA. After that it's effectively a mop up exercise, and if I'm going to lose a unit, I want to lose the 0XP chariots, of which I have five. After taking out hte city, I want to take out the axe and gain a few more workers... More junk island locations for yuris to settle. Success I can get the GA to Celadon city to bomb on turn 142. Which does give azza time to move units to counter attack, or Pingo a chance to be opportunistic...but I will be keeping the sentry chariot in Pingos borders to keep an eye on their intentions. Oh, another worker to capture and axe to kill with a shock chariot...this might be a productive first turn of war. Can't promise anything after that though. SPI is fun Pyramids are strong for anyone, with the right land, but SoZ is always a fun little wonder for the SPI leader. The silk should be hooked 5 turns after finishing Calendar, which should be researched eot turn 139, so T144. Actually, I swapped from the silk to the grass hill after this screenshot was taken to speed up the market, it should give more gold in the long run. Need a cottage on that last plains tile, but it can wait until after the silks are improved. I want to build some good units that aren't mounted, but beyond spears I don't think any of them are particularly good choices, and even then...though catapults are only about 7 turns away. Time to grow a little bit... Here I changed production to culture, and moved from a sugar to the grassland mine, to speed up the culture pop by a single turn. Next turn swap to work the sugar and the lake to grow in one turn. On turn 139, swap to three grass mines and stick to slow growth until the sugar tiles have been improved. If I also work the plains hill at a food deficit, Opportunism can reach 17hpt for two archers every three turns, to keep the city secure. The other option would be to work the plains hill instead of the grass hill this turn, and next turn swap back, for slightly more hammers but less commerce, actually, I'll change to this as well... Getting there... Working the banana this turn instead of the mine as the banana will be given over to the new city next turn, and SMS will slow grow while finishing the granary. There isn't much to work at size 4 though until the workers return from war duties, and the banana is the first thing that gets hooked. After that, I think I need to chop three jungle river grassland tiles that are overlapping with the new city to start growing cottages. Sucks to be working an unimproved tile but that's the price of a strong defence, and using the worker turns to remove jungle and forests. Back to growth, and preparing for the possibility of pushing out a GP from caste if required. 10 gold for moving that stack out of my land. Perfectly acceptable. Second place MFG is moving around a bit, but I don't think it is Nazul, so it might be yuris. I need to get his graphs... Nice power graph...let's see how dented it's going to be.
I'm tempted to get drunk and play a turn out of spite...pretty sure I have the password somewhere since I've logged in before .

Ha. I'll prove that I'm reading: your turn 137 report is identical to the turn 136 report. Did you paste in the wrong report, or is it summer rerun season?
Krill Wrote:Can everyone who is dedlurking me in this game please post here?Just noticed this now. Tbh, kinda like the blog better...just haven't had any comments/questions lately. Easier to post here at RB (some strange reason have to sign in every time to comment at blog) but the layout/format (aesthetics do mean a lot imo) of your blog just make reading the reports there a little bit more epic. Probably has a lot to do with the fact my favorite color is blue.
