Turns are rolling smoothly for the moment, so there is no rush. As long as we start putting pressure on CFC ~7 turns before we DOW the Germans I think we'll be okay.

It'll sound better to be able to say 'everyone else voted days/a week ago, stop stalling' or if someone else notices and asks CFC to vote.

There is one codified way to replace the admin ...

05 - Administration
a. Game Administrator - r_rolo1 has sole authority as game administrator. Replacement of the game administrator must be agreed to by all teams.

e. Game Setup Votes - Items determined during the voting phase of the game cannot be changed by rules or subsequent team votes. This rule cannot be changed by 05f.

f. Game Rules - Rules (with the exception of 05e) can only be changed by unanimous decision of all remaining teams in the game (1 vote per team) or by admin ruling.

CFC appear to be quiet happy to sit around doing nothing about our admin situation. The rule above pretty much says that there is nothing that we can do regarding replacing an admin without support from all teams.

Based on our current vote, we have 6/9 for Plako and 2/9 for 'admin'. That is a fair way from 9/9. Even if CFC votes for a new admin, we cannot change because we don't all agree on an admin.

However, we can overcome this. Approach Rolo and ask him to appoint plako as a joint (deputy / assistant / other) admin (there is no rule about this) and Rolo has the power (see 05f). It doesn't violate 05a because we aren't replacing the admin ... we are getting a 2nd admin.

I can tell you that Rolo is a reasonable guy. Sure - he isn't and hasn't checked in with this game since the 10th turn. I strongly think that we reach out to rolo and say there is a very strong movement re the admin situation (ie 'ease his admin duties') we will get what we want (an admin).

Noble is concerned that he will just appoint his imaginary dog as admin but I can tell you that he won't do that. And if we don't mention that we want his imaginary dog ... rather that we (and the majority of the teams) want Plako then I think he will rule that way.

And if he does do that ... what do we lose? It closes the 'admin appointing 2nd admin' route. Does it have any impact on the vote? It might even push teams down the track of replacing him.

Here's the thing...these rules are only enforceable if all the teams still agree that they are. If 8/9 teams are serious about wanting to play the game under some reasonable administration regime, then that's a clear indication to the 1/9 team that is trolling the rest of us that they can fuck off and let us keep playing our game. Rolo is only the admin if all the teams agree he is. If we all agree (or if 8/9 teams agree and carry on with the presumption that) there is a new admin, ipso facto via coup d'état, there is a new admin. What's CFC going to do, take their ball and go home? (And don't tell me that "yes that's exactly what they'll do, they host the game," because there are solutions to that problem, too, if it comes down to it).

So, to summarize: I suggest we complete the process we're in and force an answer from CFC on the issue, hopefully not by us nailing them to a wall for an answer, maybe another team will do it for us. When CFC inevitably votes no, and/or Rolo says "yeah I got this" and vanishes again, well, that's the time to revolt and get a new admin. $0.02. Hopefully none of this is necessary and CFC stops screwing everyone around and votes for a new admin. Also, tomorrow's weather forecast for hell is HOT, 0% chance of rain/snow.

We lose by giving CFC an escape route, saying that the current admin is perfectly capable of continuing as admin when it is blatantly obvious that he is not.

Rolo has been awol for months now, and CFC knows about the vote. Waiting any longer is not going to do anything.
