Sunrise razed my third city. If I hadn't lost that...and I lost it because of noob play which sunrise punished, if I hadn't lost that I'd be a lot happier with my position. Probably have another 3 or so workers, and just be more developed.
If I get HG (and to get beaten I figure someone has to be rapidly chopping it out or to have already started, both of which are real possibilities), then that is another 10 pop. I'm currently at 25 pop in 6 cities, so in 7 turns, taking into account slaves (8 pop total), I plan to be at 40 pop in 10 cities.
Right now I can tech CoL in 4 turns, by eot t69. I can tech everything so fast, and I have everyones contact, that I'm considering beelining Fued and back filling cheaper techs. If I were to do that, and keep up in the economy game (No Calendar, Currency, CoL...or CS, which I never really care about), then I figure I'd be a solid contender for the game, provided I don't get invaded in the mean time as well. Fued would buy me time to then backfill, and rush to Jans, which buys me more time...if this were combined with a large empire with which to build in, shrine (due in 6) for partial funding, then who knows what happens?
Other choices? Build Pyramids as well (risky, but with Stone, OR, I have 270 hammers worth of chops around second city for a remaining 65 adjusted hammers), giving me HR or Rep, and tech to Calendar>Currency>CoL, giving me an extra 2 happy,some more trade routes and cheap CH. I'd be very tempted to get Pyramids using some weird MM to make it perfectly safe for chops to enter turn I build it, but I'm not going to be around to do it and I don't have a sub lined up just yet...

OK, I'm handing this game over to Ruff while I'm away, and this is what I want you to do Ruff:
Build HG in capital.
Found a city on the gold south of No Quarter, using hte settler that you will slave from NQ;
Found a city on the sign next to the corn South of 10 Years Gone, using the settler from 10 Years Gone;
Found a city SE of the Fish north of 10 years gone, using the settler from Bron (slave it).
Then you will be in dire need of workers. Chop and slave them from the new cities that are not on the front lines. Those that are, you should get walls in, and place a few spears in. You also need to consider military, I would like you to build a catapult and place it in NQ so sunrise can see it. Yes, that is right, show him that You have a catapult. But just the one, you shouldn't be building too much military.
Cyneheard, OTOH, you need to be careful about. He has CS, Theo and Monarchy (in HR,Bureau and Theo civics, so he is a dangerous foe). I would love it if you could build a city on the gold between your front city and Cyneheard, and just try to keep the defensive line there, but I'm not sure if it is feasible. You may want to consider a plan to do it, because it could make the game quite fun...
As for techs, research Currency first, that is a no brainer, giving a base 10 bpt to the tech rate, and you should get it in 3 turns. Alphabet is worthless, no spies are allowed, it won;t show anyones techs, and the economy is hammer short and commerce rich so building researchis bad. The choices you have after that are go for Calendar for the extra 2 happy, or go for Monarchy via Mono and revolt to HR/OR...if you feel OK with the military side of things for for Calendar, otherwise go for Monarchy, because you then have the option of getting Fued, and LB will keep the empire safe for a long time from WC, maces, cats...the whole lot. I don't see you getting to Fued though, the game is too slow...but that is hte direction I want you to go in. CoL is a suckers game IMO, better to grow onto cottages than slave out the court house, so ignore that for the time being.
I figure now that LB are pretty much critical (because I'll be heading for Jans via Guilds), so Pyramids is a waste, you can ignore it. I have dot mapped out another couple of cities, one to the north of NQ, one to the SE of the capital, if you can get them online with workers to support them, do it. Basically, don't play a farmers gambit...I'd like it if you could keep the capital on HA with a stables in there, but still growing to max size working cottages.
Oh, and when the GP pops, make the shrine. NQ has a library, can you start working 2 scientists in there after the settler slave? And overflow into the axe to finish that. Finish the archer in 10YG as well, it needs it as the MP.

I will be posting daily stuff - this is Krill's game, not mine so I should at least keep him informed of [strike]all of my mistakes[/strike] what is going on.
I just created a new font / color scheme just for this game

turn played ... I will write something up later today. Very hard to tell what has changed from last time as Krill didn't leave any screenshots. Would have been good to see how it stood last turn so that I could tell what units had turned up in the mean time. I mean ... did sunrise have the 6HAs on the forest hill last turn?

sunrise had axe/spear/chariot on that forest hill last turn.
Worst case scenario, if you feel you need to slave out a spear, just do it. 6 HA are not enough to really do anything, although sunrise will likely try to go round the back and cut off the road. If he does that, well, spears first and HA second and just wreck the stack.

Turn 68 ... I get to look into the object that is Krill's mind ... I wonder what I will find.
First off - I find that he likes FISHING! Hmm - that should be useful. My tech instructions are Currency and Feudalism. The estimated turns at 100% tech are Currency (3) and Feudalism (8), after Monarchy (2) of course. Krill only has 102g in the bank and is spending 22 per turn ... so just under 5 turns at 100% tech.
My other instruction was to throw down 3 cities. Krill (stupidly!) didn't specify city names so I get to have some fun. I whip the settler for 3 pop at No Quarter (currency out to 4 ) and look to whip the settler at BronYrAurStomp (what sort of city name is that!). Unfortunately, the whip required is 3 (city is only size 4) but there is a chop coming in to that city. In a beautiful case of mis-management, the chop will push the settler from a 3 pop whip to a 1 pop whip. I exercise my T68 veto privileges (of which I actually have none) and decide not to chop that forest this turn (1 turn into a cottage somewhere else instead). The production will (I hope I got my maths right - if only I had the BUG mod to tell me where the whip threshold was!) push the settler down to a 2 pop whip and then I can chop that forest into it too.
In other empire maintenance news, several cities got chops and / or food tiles came on line - I moved the citizens to eat the food.
Here is the situation over to the West where Krill has asked me to get a city onto the Northern Gold. Upon opening the save and locating said tile, my response is FAT CHANCE ...
So - what are we seeing here ... some chariots from multiple directions and a watching warrior. The Horse Archer Krill left in the middle of his land is moving West. I think that it might take out that warrior. The Green Circle archer moved 1 tile directly East onto the grassland hill - any other tile and I think it could be hit. My thinking is to get it behind some city walls. The Green Dot worker is chopping (into walls?). The worker that just finished roading to this poor little city will be running over to the forested grassland hill to chop something into the city that will be settled there next turn.
