I don't know how you're getting the last one while using vanilla ffh. We could just take tower of mastery victory off.

It's been done in multiple games.

It's not something that can be toggled in-game. Just don't build it without that tech.

I just mean that having a held defensive unit, or perhaps a warrior with heroic defense 2? Would b good for ppl not dying due to lair spawns. And I prefer sages to later eras because ppl get to choose (or have to choose) certain techs first rather than getting all for free.

At one point I had considered giving each civ a flavorful second starting tech. Like knowledge of ether for magical civs or fanaticism for Bannor. Or priesthood for malakim. Or currency for hippus. I guess Bannor could get code of laws instead of fanaticism. Vamps could get agri (or calendar) and Balseraphs could start with festivals.

Sages give you only one choice down a tech path. If you want free units we should start discovery. If you are concerned about barbs, we should turn barbs off.

Or just build some military units or choose a barbarian leader.

Sages give you points towards any tech path.

If you waited to bulb them I guess u could get knowledge of ether and alteration free ...

There's nothing wrong with having a preference.
