Astronaut without sin confounds press, invites trio to control civilization

SevenSpirits Wrote:The knights had ~21-27% odds vs the maces. Two of the initial four won. Then the fifth won at ~50% and the 6th had an easy win. It "should" have cost him at least another knight.

4 maces for 2 knights is actualy not a bad trade for us since the maces are draftees and knights are 2-3 pop whips, but it's worse than expected. Anyway it's OK, and the naval luck makes up for it and then some.

So is there some hidden varriable making horse units' odds better than the game displays? I know there's always a chance with % combat like this, but it seems like this crops up more often than it should.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

The classic mistake is to overestimate your odds because the game doesn't show the river penalty until you move your unit up to the river.

Our advisors tell us that we are at war, have been for a long time, and our cities are burning. Hmm, maybe this pacifism thing isn't so hot.

We fired Chamberlain and adopted Slavery and Organized Religion (it's cheaper than pacifism). Mackoti, please come visit our meat grinder...

We also bulbed Printing Press and got a new great scientist from Io. It can bulb half of Scientific Method. Our hope is to research Liberalism->Sci Meth->Liberalism and slingshot Communism. Mackoti's impudence has delayed us, though.

Let's just hope Yuri doesn't break our NAP.

You could have adopted Paganism if you wanted to save on upkeep. wink

OR is actually better though. Paganism's just $13 cheaper than it and we'll be getting more than that in OR bonus hammers which we could make up later (and then some) with wealth builds if desired.

We don't. wink

He's been nice to us starting with a warrior incident early on, and we've been nice to him in return, gifting him stuff and not killing him and leaving his colossus/holy city defended by a single warrior alone on numerous occasions.

Due to these friendly relations we expect him not to suddenly attack us and would consider that a betrayal of trust even though no agreement was made.

Don't you need to squeeze Circular Logic in there somewhere?

He means we start Liberalism but don't finish it until one turn after SciMeth. smile
