RBPB4 [SPOILERS] - Locke and Cervantes

It is 1AD and we are still alive. No BC death. smile

Here is civ. We have 2 cities in north now. Needed Caste System to expand borders all food in second ring. Now we have done that and now we go backto Slavery again. Also HR civic since we have Monarchy. Other teams waste Anarchy turn changing civic. Spi is really good.

We get Great Scientist this turn. Lightbulb Philosophy next turn. We need to research useless Alphabet to set that up. Philosophy gets us Pacifism civic and another religion. Taoism not that useful but another religion in capital = another monastery. When we get Civil Service and Bur our capital will be awesome.

Here are stats for you. We are getting closer to leaders in Food and GNP. Catching up. Markets help alot with costs.

OK well I wanted to give you update where we are.

We found this city before. It should let us get 2 more cities north on island. Gems are there to. Nakor got here late. Bad mistake on his part. Now this area will be ours.

Vandal is city #13. We have another settler moving to city spot now. We have 2 more settlers being built. Our research is pretty good but other teams pulling away in cities. Parkin has 15 and regoarrarr has 16 and plako has 18. regoarrarr really spamming those cities with Great Lighthouse. He build 11 cities in 30 turns. One of his neighbors should take them away. You cant defend that kind of spam. We build more cities to keep pace.

This is overview from last turn. Next city goes on southern X. We whipped alot of markets and overflowed into forges. Made sure to whip with Organized Religion civic. Then changed to Caste System and Pacifism. We will try to get a Prophet for next Great Person to build Conf shrine. At least we get Great People fast with Pacifism civic.

Parkin got Civil Service tech this turn. Made it cheaper for us to research. Now takes only 8 turns instead of 11. Our capital is very good. Bureaucracy will help alot. We have 4 religions there that can build 4 monasteries. 4 monasteries = 40% science. That is like another Academy. If we have Bureaucracy and get Prphet for shrine that will be a lot more gold and research.

Here are Demos for this turn. We have been #3 in Food forever behind plako and Parkin. Maybe we will catch up with more cities someday. GNP is pretty good. Parkin has been first there but he is in Anarchy this turn. Civic change to Bur. We make about 130 beakers at breakeven rate. I think that is better then most other teams.

Prod is crap because we working max food everywhere. We are not in OR civic right now. Just grow while we are in Pacifism. Grow working cottages and whip better than working mines anyway. At least we are second in Land (plako) and Population (Parkin).

We have long NAPs with Nakor/Adlain. Doing farmer gambit right now. We are building lots of forges. Our infrastructure is pretty good. I hope plako does not get too big. We asked teams to boycott him and they would not. Now you see what happens. WarriorKnight will be dead soon. Lots of land for plako. It is bad sign.

OK I will give you short update:

Here is southern half of civ. We found Goth and Angle since I last update. Goth is bad spot: 3/2 deer tile, tundra furs, and whales. But it is better than nothing so we found it. We can make this a crummy production city with time. 3 food from deer, 3 food from whales and 3 food from lake if we get lighthouse. Then work water and mine hills. Best we can do with bad land.

Angle and Navajo have no resources. We found them anyway to use land. Adlain was not using land so we will. Need 3 grassland farms at each city. That gets you 5 food and then you can work cottages. It is best use of land. Navajo is already OK city. Angle will be eventually to. Angle is on water and can build galley to get around mountains in south. There is room for more cities there. Adlain not using that area. So we will found some more cities there once we have galley. It is all tundra but there is fish and crabs which make cities worth having.

Here is north of civ. Nakor founded city in spot we wanted near Vandal. We were not happy but there is nothing we can do. We have NAP. If we fight Nakor then plako come and kill us later. It sucks. Have to stay friends with Nakor though.

We have settler going to found city 1N of pigs. This is cramped spot but we have to go there or else we cant get city by clams further north. All cities here placed around fish. Good thing we have Caste System to expand borders. We have 15 cities now and should get 4 more up here. Plus whatever we can get in jungle area. There are no food resource or fresh water there so it will be tough.

We found these cities because we were getting outexpanded by other teams. We decide to pick up pace of expansion a little. We are still behind just not as much now. I think map is getting pretty full now. We will have 20 cities without fighting I do not think all other teams will get that.

Research kind of sucks right now from founding these cities. We are whipping forges with Slavery + OR civics. Can do next civics swap in 3t and then we go Bur + Caste + Pacifism. This will give huge boost in tech. OR is very expensive civic. Pacifism much cheaper since our army is small. It will also help us try for Great Prophet for shrine. Bur will be very good since we have very good capital. I will post next update then. I think we can do 175 beakers/turn after swap. Clean up rest of Classical techs then. We can see research of other teams with Alphabet and most are not very good. Everyone overexpand and tech suffer.

OK now it is turn 131:

We finish Civil Service. I swap us to Bureaucracy + Caste System + Pacifism. This is big increase in GNP. We go from like 225 to 288. We were losing money getting 135 beakers. Now making money getting 157 beakers. Before we change civics I do lots of whips. We whip 20 pop in recent turns. I get forges in 9 out of first 10 cities. Now we do future whips with forges + OR civic. Get 45 hammer each whip.

We found Magyar this turn. This is city #16. There is fish on X tile. Saxon is building work boat. Worker get chop for granary. We are still behind other teams in city number but a little closer. No one catch plako at 20 cities. At least we are close to regoarrarr (18 cities) and Parkin (17 cities).

Here are Demos. GNP went up alot with civic change. Parkin is always #1 in GNP but we are tech leader. We have Alphabet and we can see we have most techs. I dont know why that is. I guess he has a lot of culture or something. We will research cheap Iron Working then Horseback Riding and Construction. It should take 1 turn and 2 turns and 3 turns. 6 turns total. That will let us start military buildup. Probably need more units soon.

Still #3 in Food. That never changes. cry It is better than looks here because we whip so many cities for forge. plako has way more cities than us so he has alot more Food. That is biggest danger sign. Our tech is better than plako at least. Prod is almost up to average from forge. You can see other numbers.

We have NAP to turn 160 with Adlain and turn 200 with Nakor. We are hoping for Great Prophet soon from Pacifism. Conf shrine would be great. Adlain build Buddhist shrine. Parkin build Apostolic Palace. It would be very good for us but we never had chance. He beeline Theology very early and is Ind leader. We will beeline Liberalism instead and see how that turn out.

OK sorry it has been long time since I update. I have just been to busy to post here. I will let you know what we are doing.

We got the Great Prophet we wanted. We use him on Conf shrine. That is worth alot of money because Conf is top religion in game. We get 31 gold from shrine right now. More then that with market in city. This was really big healp for science.

We have added cities in south. There is not to much more room here. We will put next city on X in south. There is fish there. We need galley from Angle to reach the spot. That land is probably supposed to be Adlain but he hasn't tried to settle there. Other cities regrow after getting whipped.

Here is north. This has changed most since last update. We are trying to get these cities started most of them are new. We wanted to put city on X but luddite take spot with rice tile. Now we cannot put city on that spot. There is no food in that jungle. We need to cut jungle and bring farms from lake over by Moogle. It will take a long time. We should get a couple more cities there eventually. Have 20 cities right now.

We spent 5 turns in OR/Slavery civics. We whipped most of our cities for courthouses and markets and forges. Now we switch back to Caste System/Pacifism. These are much cheaper civics. They let us run higher science. Pacifism also helps us go for Great Person faster. We have Great Scientist due in a few turns. We plan to use for lightbulb on Education and then get Liberalism. I think we will probably be team to get Liberalism. Parkin is only other team with Paper and he doesnt have Philo tech. Also we will get 2/3 of Education with lightbulb. I dont think he is researching that fast. We get about 275 science right now each turn. That is better then most other teams.

Here are Demos. We are always stuck at #3 in Food. But we are up to #2 in GNP behind only Parkin. He is top civ right now. plako fell pretty far behind in tech from his war. plako has ton of cities but science is bad. We have pulled ahead of him in score. Prod and Soldier rankings are going up which is good. Other teams have more cities so we will never be first right now. Eventually we will have to fight someone for more land. Probably Adlain cause he is not that strong. Still thinking about what to do.

If we get Lib I think we would take Nationalism. Taj would be pretty good to have. I dont like holding bonus for other team to steal.
