Bounce ideas of of, mainly. if you want to take amore active role, that's fine - as you can see, I'm not all that much into micro, myself. For instance, my plans had me making 11 hammers a turn now... I'm going to make 12, instead...

More pics later - up shot, stonehenge in 5-7 turns, assuming we don't get beat. Demos are interesting - someone is making 27 hammers a turn, which has to be an expansive civ making a granary.

We are first in GNP, which is just from building pottery with fishing, agri and the wheel, of course, but it's nice.

I think next is polytheism->Monotheism. Writing is nice, but OR is really useful to me, since it's 25% off all our buildings. and we dont' get cheap ones.

We got pottery and we need a new tech. My thought had been poly->mono - Org rel will be important for us. However, TT got poly, and he's spiritual, so I'm thinking he might got monotheism. So I dunno - either med or writing, dunno which.

So, have to figure out if writing or med. If writing, I'll leave my last scout over by jowwy... if med, I'll move it away.

ok - analysis:


Once again, Stonehenge is very useful for me. 3 teams are creative and don't need it. 3 of the teams are industrious, which would make them difficult competition... but one of those is one of the creative ones and another is Inca, who don't need it.

So, presumably, the people who will be going for stonehenge are:

Twinkletoes (Isabella of France)
Me (Hannibal of NA)
Cornflakes/Q (Huanya of Zulu)

Both of those players have an advantage - Twinkletoes will out-expand me, thus be able to get to it faster and Cornflakes will build it faster. Also, TT has better techs (wheel is better than fishing, unless we start with seafood and even then...)

I think that TT getting hinduism is both bad (clearly he has mysticism) and good (he has a religion, why would he need henge?

I decided to go meditation. There's only 1 spiritual civ, so it seems reasonably that the others might not go meditation yet, and meditation is the shortest path to CoL, which is the next religion if I miss Buddhism.

If I miss on stonehenge, this gives me a chance at a religion...

I;m 2 pop whipping stonehenge to ensure I get it. Only way I don't get it is if someone else finishes it this turn and gets picked before me. How does that work in PB?

We overflow 8 hammers into the worker, btw, which shouldn't take long to build.

Then, I have to think of whether to go granary or settler. I think granary - I think we want to be popwhipping granaries. I have 10 extra food, which means with a granary that I should be able to grow 3 pop back in 3-5 turns. I can make a settler for a turn, then 3 pop whip them.

Right - growth on normal is 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34. So, without a granary, it's 3 turns to get to size 4, then 3 turns for each next size - basically, 9 turns to recover 3 pop. WIth a granary, it looks like it's 4 (or 5, depending on overflow)

So, clearly I need a granary next...
