I did a fast settler optimization table for PB18 (below spoilt) where we have Victoria as a leader. I did not end up using it that much, but if I read GJ correctly it might have some relevance for this puzzle crazyeye

(Without being able to see the start picture at work,) Is the difference which hill the Worker Mines?

Since IMP want's you to be working a multiple of 5h to maximise the 60% bonus, a Plains Hill Mine can be worth an extra foodhammer verses the Grassland equivalent, if the tile combination brings you to a multiple of 5.

Also, if the Corn is not irrigated (again, I can't see), then a Plains Hill Mine will produce more foodhammers towards a Settler - 6 vs. 5.

Correct!! twirl

With Imp, both settler-at-2 and settler-at-3 micro plans benefit from mining the grass hill 1S of the capital as the second improvment for the reasons you state. (and yeah, the corn is not irrigated.) The settler-at-2 plan also gets an additional bonus because the mine takes 1T less time to improve than the farm. The settler-at-3 doesn't even lose any time growing to size 3!

Uh, I don't think so? Why would I need that?

You need it in the publicmap folder. Just trust us, it's a failing of that map generation tool (calling it a script is just wrong). If you don't have it then shit like that happens.

The overlay in your screenshot looks like the configuration panel for the Full of Resources map script. Not sure if this will help or not but try putting the script in your PublicMaps directory. There's one under your Documents folder at:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\beyond the sword\PublicMaps

and another one under the Program Files directory (mine is the Steam version but that shouldn't matter, just replace the Steam path with whatever the regular one is):

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's civilization iv beyond the sword\PublicMaps

I don't know which of the two paths is effective, or whether both are, but I'm guessing the one under Program Files is the better place. Try putting the script there, reload Civ, and see what happens. The script is in the attachment.

Edit: Ninja'd by Krill. At least I provided the script. :P
