I figured it out - I clicked on the wrong option under 'Multiplayer'. I logged in fine; civ looks pleasant.

trololololol I am still in sleep-mode this morning I think - I logged in on my Windows partition. Herp a derp. I have to leave now; I'll try and log in on Macintosh when I get back.

Turn 2 Stone! And silk and sheep and floodplains. I suspect a city on or NE of the stone would be good, but it's early yet for wild speculation. I think the border pop will only reveal the yellow dotted tiles here, so I'll have the scout skirt around the south revealing as much as possible.
