Alright. Should I leave New York/Seattle's forests? How many are we shooting for to get the Taj, y'think?

It takes 9-10 forests (with OR and Forge multipliers) to get the Taj in one go. However, the opportunity cost of not chopping and not improving our cities now may be too high. The offset is that the idea of teching to Nationalism directly instead of through Liberalism is that we may get there first.
5 forests would be about half the cost of the Wonder. We'd still need something like 220 hammers of production. ...It's probably still too expensive to build slow with no chops.
I'm flip-flopping, but I think we can get away saving more forests at Seattle, preferably the ones furthest from the borders. We'd probably still have to put 5-6 turns of regular production in before we can chop it out, though. Taj is a great wonder, I just don't wanna under improve our cities now in the hopes of getting it later.

Alright. I'll do something like end up chopping 3 forests in Seattle or so and leave like 5-6 forests, then.

Looking at it, we cannot build the Heroic Epic (No big enough unit), just the National Epic. Since we don't have any high food places to really put it it feels, we can either put it in Washington (Which can run specialists and more importantly has the Library) or wait to put it somewhere with a lot of food.

Seattle has 6 forests that are on Plains tiles, which generally are not that good. How about chopping down all the forests save for those, since those will be the worst tiles to improve, and leaving those 6 forests for the Taj?

Also, it turns out our Hagia plan might have been slightly doomed from the start: New Jersey can't actually whip out the missionary.

New Jersey can't? Huh. I thought that once 6 hammers had been invested in the Missionary, it could be whipped since 1 pop is worth 20 hammers on quick, I thought. Though it was going to be whipped next turn, T80... so.
But, yeah, save plains forests probably works. Forgot we don't have the HE unit. That sucks. National Epic in Washington is prrrrobably the best move if we're going to put it anywhere.

Oh, it works on T80, I thought it was meant to be whipped this turn. Alright, I will save the plains forest and chop down the rest.
Bitch, our library is so great even jocks come in daily!

*Takes out radio* Uuuuuuuh, Houston, we have a problem.
It looks like Ruffnar sees his one War Elephant and is going all in. Now, admittedly, despite the absurdity this COULD be a Worker defense force, because the large amounts of units in the city would be able to trounce a small Worker defense force, but I have shifted most cities to a War Elephant over Forges juuust in case and will whip it out here. War Elephants over other units because it gets better odds.
I'm actually not too worried about this attack: 6 Axes and 1 Ballista Elephant vs. 2 Swordsman, 2 Axemen, 2 Archers and 1 Spear on a 20% defense hill. The Elephant is the hardest and we have to hope the Spear peals it off, but the Axes will have trouble vs. the hilled 20% defense city and if it survives 1T I've pulled 2 Archers and 1 Axe from Seattle to protect it that will arrive said turn + whipped War Elephant. I am also unsure if this is an invasion, largely because I see two Swords nearby protecting a Worker that could have joined the invasion. Either way, with 7 defenders to 6 he has to win almost every battle to take it in one turn. Aside from that the turn is progressed as normally.

BUT WE DON'T HAVE A HOUSTON DO WE??? Ha ha ha.
Yeah, that's a thing. I don't think I would have swapped anything but the closest cities to War Elephants (hard to tell how many you did swap, though). Hopefully that is just a defense force, but having a few Elelphants of our own to bolster our power rating wouldn't hurt. Colorado is such junk.
By the way, are you doing anything with that Chariot that's been hanging out on Ruff's borders for the last few turns?
