We've lost Taj There's no way it'll still land for us. We nee 10 turns.
580-700 = 120/2.75 = 44 base hammers. We can put a plains mine in turn after next, and if we work the plains starting immediately it'll take us 10 turns. It's a 3-pop whip, and no way we could get up to 6 pop quicker.

AHAH! I remember now. This IS at known bug that I've seen discussed before, where building culture when the borders pop earns a free extra turn of production when something is queued up behind. Still probably not enough grounds for reload, but at least I know HOW it happened.

Q, you are officially in charge now. I leave shortly and return on Friday, and will have internet to consult on the forums, but probably not to play pitboss unless I have to (I'm sure there's an internet cafe somewhere near that would do in a pinch).
Just in case we are granted reload, here's the last details in the Taj chop micro: (1) chop all forests that workers are standing on, (2) Wines worker goes SW and chops, (4) Worker in the South goes N-NE and chops, (5) one of the roading workers in the north comes south to chop the forest NW of the corn ... All 3 of those forests are roaded and have (2/3) signs.

A reload to remove the Courthouse from the build queue would have to be before the turn roll to be effective (Jowy's login as the latest), which would require the replay of 3 war turns (Jowy last turn, AT and TT this turn). If anything major happened I'm afraid we'll have to just eat the bug and hope for the best, but probably just come out with a load of failgold
If only that was a forge queued up we'd have been ok Forge would have given an extra 25% to our chops, which would have made up a good portion of the difference and at least given us a shot at finishing it with a mine or whip.

You can always ask for a reload. But you may or may not get it.

According to my judgement I wouldn't call the culture bug is not a misclick ... on the other hand it is a documented bug that I have heard about (although it never for a moment entered my mind or I would have said something to be doubly safe). I'm rather biased towards a reload which is why I asked for opinions.

I did it, and I'm really, really sorry.
I view that as grounds for a reload, as it is a significant effect on gameplay.

So this was a major setback but we shall forgive Q and move on. Partly my fault for not remembering the bug.
The plan now is to put 2 workers on the plains hill, while 4 workers each put a turn into the winery (then cancel the actions). Next turn road with the 2 workers on the hill and then mine with the 4. We'll give it put best shot now ... I already checked, and none of the remaining 3rd ring forests will chop into Kayak.

Mechanics Question: is there any way to direct a 3rd ring chop? Is so we need to find out before we move the workers next turn.
I know with forests in BFC overlap they are directed into the city that tile illuminated (i.e. displays tile yield as opposed to dark).
Q, you are on your own unfortunately until the 10th, because I only have mobile access to Internet.

Condolences on the loss of your beautiful Taj plan.
You can't direct chops that aren't in culture in BFC. They will go to the oldest city of the ones they are closest to. (The one higher in the city list of the domestic advisor.)
