I think from here on out spaceman should play all war turns for everyone.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I think the title for that turn should be:
"LOOK MA, NO GREAT ARTISTS!" [/PBEM13]

Heh, a frankly scary thought.

Haha.
Thanks for the comments.
I got a reasonable night's sleep - not too many Civ dreams - but I couldn't help but wonder this morning what they might do.
I think they have no real option but to attack our northern stack, since we can attack them even if they retreat. With cats saved up, I think we have a chance of wiping them out, depending on what damage they do (they could easily take out 30 of our units next turn).
They might possibly offer peace to regroup. Not sure we should accept that - don't want to give them chance to tech.
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Can't argue with that...
Save's in, with a mix of good news and bad news.
- I remember now that someone (Seven?) pointed out that Luddicator had received a galleon gift. Well, it turned up and razed Charon. (They lost a knight and a mace and took out a musket and an axe.)
- Janus still stands
- Luddicator attacked with some of his injured units, and pillaged with the rest, deleting them after the fact. We only lost 3 pikes on the mainland counterattack. Luddicator's only got 3 knights left in our territory, plus 2 knights by the ruins of Charon.
- Mackoti retreated his units, not attacking us at all. He must have deleted some injured units that were in the megastack.
- Luddicator offered white peace.
Thoughts:
- Our frigates can soon take control of the entire eastern sea, preventing further Charon incidents. Luddicator don't have astronomy.
- We have a settler in Titan that can refound Charon.
- We have units on a galleon that can unload in Iapetus and take out Luddicator's knight that razed Charon. His boats (galley+galleon) have at least one knight on board, possibly a second unit too.
- White peace with Luddicator gains us nothing as they can continue gifting gold and units to Mackoti.
- Our gold was pillaged and must be remined ASAP.
- We have hindu missionaries on north island that should be shipped to our eastern naval bases for theocracy goodness when we get available transportation.
- Heal up and march on Pharsalos.
Pictures for people not Spaceman:
Three injured knights and a greek maceman are all that remain of the mainland invasion stack.
The ruins of Charon.
I have to run.

Yeah, the missing galleon was one of the last things I saw before checking out. I'd been carefully searching for Mackoti's missing ships of which I was sure there was at least one galleon, and ended up finding the whole area empty when I moved in the galleon with sentry chariot which also found Luddicator's stack. There was a privateer guarding the eastern Zulu coast but I didn't think I should say anything about it after reading Luddicator's thread. In general though I was trying to be careful and keep a naval sentry net, as most of our ocean islands are completely undefended.
Don't remember if I posted these, but a couple tactical ideas I had for attacking Pharsalos (not affected by my being spoiled at all):
1) That settler was for if we can raze Pharsalos, to plant on the plains hill 2E for example and bar refounding. That's also why I left the forest 1t from chopped; we could use it to get an immediate walls in the new city.
2) The lake next to Pharsalos allows some interesting tactical possibilities with boats. Most notably we could use forts to get boats into the lake and land forces (or a scouting unit) on a hill next to the city. But also if we manage to safely control a few tiles at the edge of our territory we could build a southern canal using three forts. Btw get those workers back to where they can help with combat.
Any plans for the four generals? Medic and...?

Not sure yet. We kept them in reserve last turn in case we wanted to promo-heal a bunch of units this turn. Of course, some of them need transportation to the frontlines, too. Luckily Spaceman moved the one that was born in Charon out of the city.

Wow, that was quick. Retreat it was. We have a big army left now - superb.
I saw there was a galley in range of Charon (I think) - is that the southern city on the southern island? - and I was sending a frigate over to intercept. Hadn't anticipated a galleon.
I think novice and I had both meandered the privateer down the coastline to the ex-Sian(?) island, hence it was no longer guarding that area. Oops. Problem with coming in cold, I guess.
Marching on Pharsalos sounds good.
We probably shouldn't accept peace with Luddicator without compensation, although it would leave us with fewer distractions if we were at war with just one opponent.

Yeah, felt it was better on the safest square on the island, i.e. the one with no coastal access.
Could get some Barrage III cannons going.
