Dymlos Wrote:Not sure if this is a bug, but I have Alorra summoned/hired, and I gave her a bow that has Haste, and now she only shoots 4 times in battle (total) before running out of arrows. If I unequip the bow, I can make 8 shots again (and I have a save if that helps).
For all I know this has been around since forever.
Yes, this is a bug. You can watch that each turn you shoot, even if you shoot once for that turn, the ammo lost 2. Similarly, when I cast haste on warship (99 ammos), the ammo reduced by 2 even if I shoot only once at that turn. My warship thus shots for 46 turns and the ammo is gone. No ammo for the last 4 turns.

I discovered a bug! W00t!
The savegame is at http://www.sendspace.com/file/8qmjb5
Switch to Mortu, and use him to attack the enemy stack at the node. Delian the Magician and 2 Dragon Turtles are in the stack.
During combat, right-click on Delian and you'll see that he carries the Shield of Evasion in his weapon (staff) slot, plus an Amulet of Lesser Shielding in a ring slot. After the battle the 2 items are won and function normally. The bug persists through a reload of MoM.
This is not the first time I have encountered this issue. In another game (which I didn't keep) another enemy mage had the Vans Shield in his staff slot too.

Back online.
Thanks for all comments, I will need some time now to read them through and to react, or to put them on the to do list.

I found another bug. It's also present in the savegame posted in #152.
Mortu has Wraithform cast on him. When he's over water, his items can't be removed. MoM says "this unit will drown if the item is removed". But none of his items give Wraithform, Flight, Windwalk, or Water Walking. Doh!
Once Mortu is on land, his items can be traded around normally.

Using 1.4j, an exploring magic spirit found an undefended hamlet. I razed it, and the popup said 'You are triumphant. The monsters rampage through the city and disappear into the wilderness. You lose 1 fame.' I'm not sure if I gained the correct amount of gold, but I did indeed lose the fame.

attacking enemy's last outpost cause crash. Attached is the savegame. To reproduce the bug, please move the magic spirit over the YELLOW colored city, which is the last city of an enemy wizard.

walk on water without water walking or flight/wind walking bug:
Please open the save file and look at Jafa's troup right at the north-east square from my fortress. The troup has one cavalry and one nagas. The cavalry has no capability to go on water.

Hi,
After playing on impossible with the latest 1.40j patch, I discovered at some point that even when I sign peace with a particular wizard, they attacked two of my cities the following turn. I suppose this shouldn't happen and it seems like a bug to me.
Furthermore, Wind Mastery, according to game rules should halve the speed of other wizards' ships. One wizard has casted Wind Mastery and I had trireme, and its speed remained at 2 moves per turn, whereas I think, it should be 1. Galley, however, should move at 2 moves per turn after other wizard's Wind Mastery is in effect.
One more bug. I casted "Heroism" and "Bless" over my trireme, which both have been dispelled by the opponent wizard during combat with his own trireme. After wining the combat I noticed that both Heroism and Bless remained cast on my trireme.
Unfortunately, I am not able to provide the savegam files.
Good luck and thanks for your work!

Yes, spells like heroism and bless continue in 1.40j even after being dispelled during combat, agree that's probably a bug. However, peace means nothing to enemy wizards... which helps make the setting "impossible"! That's a feature.

I disagree. There should be a reasonable period for a peace treaty to be in effect. At least, more than a single turn! I always thought that diplomacy was a weak side in the game. What is the use of diplomacy if it is ignored almost completely? In Master of Orion, for instance, it is very well respected.
