It stands for All Random All Middle- Basically everyone just gets a random champion that they own or is free that week and heads to the middle lane to duke it out- the jungle and other lanes are off limits and there's no bluepilling, only way to buy is to do it when you get killed. Some games end at the first tower death, others when you totally raze the base.
Edit: And Gusterian beats me to it. Anyways I didn't see it in the wiki, but no revive as a summoner spell is also generally included from what I've heard when I saw TreeEskimo do a live stream of one.

Some ARAM games in there (some untitled) from grasshyren, if you haven't seen any of his youtube videos you should definitely check them out

Melee champs are usually weaker in lane because they are easy to harass, that's why some are good to jungle and also why Taric is such a good champion since he can stun the other team so the melee champ can get in range. You should be using the brush a lot to avoid ranged harassment when possible. Melee dps have better stats than ranged dps so if you can get a good amount of your own harassment in you should do well.

Not that weird, you'd occasionally see AP carries in the past stack AA staffs, the new hat just gives brokenly huge amounts of AP so buying it multiple times works. Let's say you only have 3 hats as items, the first one gives you 201 AP I believe, the second one up's your AP to 403, lastly the 3rd hat will push the AP number to 604. Getting 400 AP used to be pretty damn good, now its pretty standard for people to be 500+ after 3-4 AP items.
Burst casters like Annie seem much more powerful now, you can very easily burst a non-tank down with just 3 spells now once you have your hat.

Surely this ridiculous hat is going to get a nerf soon. Zhonya's Ring was used by everyone, even if they didn't particularly use the active -- the new hat gives 35 more AP, an extra 5% buff overall, *and* is 180 gold cheaper. Seems rather OP to me... to the extent that stacking them, even with the existence of a unique passive, makes sense.

Yes, but one problem is that right now I still play a lot of SoloQ due to time differences and almost nobody plays support champs like Taric, Sona or Janna.
I thought about jungling, too, but as long as you have not reached max level and maybe even miss armor runes you jungle rather slowly and fall behind very easily (just died in a bot game with Xin Zhao when starting at blue ) It's probably best to wait until level 30 and finish a complete rune set first.

Archangel staff stacking with 1 deathcap is still a better and cheaper way to maximize AP if you have the Tear/Archangel extra mana charged up, however if you rushed a Deathcap as first item, don't need the mana and just need more AP to get an advantage now it's reasonable to stack Needlessly Large Rods and upgrade them to deathcaps when out of inventory space.
I don't think it is OP, now people who want to abuse the Zhonya's invulnerability by combining it with a persistent ult (hi Kennen...) have to make a significant tradeoff in AP to do so.

I don't usually start at blue when jungling with Xin.
He doesn't have much problem with mana because his main two jungling abilities (Q and W) only cost 30 each.
The blue buff cooldown reduction effect is less crucial also because Q only starts cooling down after you've landed the three hits, his W has innate cooldown reduction.
Try starting at the wraiths and smiting the blue wraith, then wolves, then go to the Golem.
At this point you should be level 2 (if you did lesser golems should be 3?), smite coming off cooldown and mana be needing a recharge which the buff will give.
Just make sure the other team doesn't steal it beforehand.
On a separate note, I'm loving the cooldown reduction boots on Cho.
Helps with all his stuff: rupture, scream and getting more stacks on Feast faster.

Tried going wraiths -> wolves > and golem with level 2, but that didnt work really good either, either I have to wait quite long to heal up before doing golem or I die to golem. Need to save for armor runes...
I also think it's not only a jungle problem. At least for me I find it much easier to play a ranged champion. I have problems to correctly estimate the fight outcome when entering a fight with a melee. And the problem with a champion like Xin or Irelia is that if you misjudge a fight you are likely to end up dead, whereas with i.e. Ashe you can stay at max range and just kite opponents until you are back at safety if the fight turns out badly. Not to forget that many ranged champions can harass without taking a lot of risk. With the new boots, runes and masteries Vlad can transfuse around ~every 2.2 seconds at level 9 (and my account level is not even 30 yet). At least laning becomes incredibly easy at that point.

So, after an extended hiatus that was forced upon me (not once, but twice), I am back - with an all new rig, to boot!
Core i7 950 (with Noctua NH-C14 Cooler)
12GB DDR3 1600 (@ 6-8-6-20)
2x Geforce 460 in SLI
120GB SSD and 2TB HDD
Blu-Ray Disc Drive
24" LED LCD Monitor
Windows 7 Professional
This "upgrade" has been a long time coming, so you can imagine my excitement. I wasn't thrilled about having the need to build this thrust upon me sooner than I was ready, but the prospect of building a brand new rig from the ground up was too tempting to pass up. Only took me a month!
All in all, I'm thrilled. I'm glad to have my own computer back up and running, and looking forward to seeing everyone in LoL. Unfortunately, we won't be able to crack jokes about loading LoL on my old Tandy 1000 anymore. Ah, well - trade-offs.
At any rate, I just wanted to drop in and let everyone know I'll be around more often once more. It's going to take some time and tweaking to get everything set up again, but I hope to be around this weekend.
See you soon!

Thank you Uberfish, this is what i was refering to, there were Veigers running around with 800Ap once upon a time.
