And yes, I see the flaws in that system, but to get an almost perfect rule you are going to have another 1000 word essay to learn and understand.

Well if another not-too-biased opinion is any help, I'd do it the way Krill suggests too.
I have to run.

I guess then thats fine by me, though I would have liked to see Krill writing a 1000 word essay only so that we in the end can say "No, lets do it the easy way"

Heh, I'm almost as bad about those 1000-word essays as Krill is...
No objections here.
EDIT: Also heard from Ad Hoc, he's playing the save tonight.

Ouch... now I understand your question. Thought you feared what Tatan and I could do. And I was so silly to never do it just to be fair to you. Guess that was the wrong decision...

At one point, I did fear what you two could do.
And if Tatan didn't go between the gift and me, then those knights would have sat in Calimari.
Like most of these rules discussions, MvN situations get very complicated (1vN is usually little different from a 1v1).
*pondering*
Would it have made a tactical difference if I'd re-named one of my troops in Calimari on T116 as "6 knights to be gifted here"? In no event could your troops have hit Calimari that turn. While your potential scouting on T116 was not predictive of my T117, any scouting done by Tatan would have seen those 6 knights. Would Covenant have not been hit because of 6 1- and 2-promo knights ready to counter-attack (the others that attacked were my own)?
In the unlikely event that you didn't use a Sentry troop at all to check on Calimari, then I have absolutely no sympathy.

No, there is another reason why my stack evaporated. Re-reading my last post shows me that it can probably be misunderstood (as so often with my posts, sorry...). I sounds like I think your move was unfair but that is not what I meant to say. I meant to say that it was the wrong decision that I have never gifted my troops because I think that we then could have taken Covenant.
Anyway, I'll play the turn now
