Went to EB to check my order status today. The CE is going to be delayed til the 5th. I was going to wait for the CE, then the sales guy told me Best Buy is running a special so EB is doing it too. The special is $20 off, a couple of days after release. That's a $40 dollars saving from CE. I think I will grab a regular version on Sunday and use the saving to get extra slots

So, check you local Best Buy or EB.

News on Collector's Edition 26 April 2006
We have great news about availability of the Guild Wars Factions Collector's Edition! As you may know, some stores are reporting a shortage of the Collector's Edition. In truth, it appears that we underestimated the demand and manufactured too few copies. In order to correct this shortage, we are currently producing additional copies of the CE. These copies have an anticipated ship date of June 30th. We sincerely thank the Guild Wars community for its incredible support of Factions, and look forward to seeing you in the game soon!

So now we have to wait 2 months for the CE.

I hope it just means that everyone who's already got their pre-order in for the CE will still get it and that the second printing will just be for people who were planning to wait until the game was released to pick one up or something like that.

We have just been informed by our UK supplier that they have not yet received
our Collector's Edition stock to send to us.

We are hoping that stock will arrive in NZ next week for release Friday 12th
May.

We will be shipping your order by overnight courier (freight free for you)
whenever we get the stock. If you have paid by direct credit please let me know
and I will put a credit note on your order - if you are paying by credit card we
will zero the freight charge before processing your order.

Free T-Shirt to boot. I used the free overnight option as well, so with luck I might be getting it tomorrow (or today, depending on how you look at it).

I kinda like it when stuff gets delayed like this. Back when FF7 came out, I had that pre-ordered and because of a delay got a free t-shirt (t-shirt might have been part of the pre-order deal, I don't remember at this point) and credit at the store, which let me buy Suikoden for almost nothing.

Well it seems we're finally getting somewhere!

Our UK supplier has today informed us that our Collector’s Edition stock has
left the UK (the good news is that it is on it’s way!) but it will not arrive in
NZ until mid next week.

Unfortunately this stock situation is beyond our control. Stock of the
Collector’s Edition is now sold out in the UK with no more stock due until
sometime in June – however we will have extra stock for the shelf!

We do apologise for this delay and we will process and dispatch your order as
soon as we possibly can.
