[Spoilers] Defining the phrase "€˜Hung Like a Horse"€™: Pb & the Kuriotates

Darkmantle Wrote:So we should hear the war farts of the centaurs soon then? To crush those evil infernals that have dared to not give you exactly what you want?
It's certainly confusing. smile

The UC leader was definitely confirmed on T203, and a testgame put the first resolution proposal coming 10 turns later, so T213.
I'm allowing a turn of leeway, to allow for PBEM turn order oddities, but hope is fast fading.
Really could've done with that GSci too. frown

Don't you need to wait until Rhoetus is "in position" before attacking? :neenernee

Turn 214:

Turn starts with…a resolution!

In Illian lands, several mana nodes have reverted back to neutral, so I guess he’s making a change.
The bulk of Selrahc’s forces are in Jingle Bells and Chestnut Roast.

Then it’s time for Rhoetus to meet his maker.

Promoting to C1 increases the odds from < 0.1% to 0.2%, at which point there’s nothing left for me to do but send him in to die.

Or not! jive
Rhoetus managed to survive with 0.4 health, but despite spending 10 minutes trying to figure out a way to evacuate him, there’s nothing I can do. frown

The CA is already fatigued from the journey to Dis, so I can’t Sprint him out.
There are two adepts in Murousbane and the Radonnor Citadel. With a combination of Haste, Slow and some worker roading, I might have been able to save him, but neither of them have Body I and I don’t have a Body node currently…
So I was left with the unpleasant alternative of trying to deny the Infernals free xp.

Using Tsunami I decided to give Rhoetus a watery grave…

Unfortunately I forgot about the collateral limit on the spell, so that failed too.

Finally accepting the inevitable, I used Sirona to heal him a bit, and am left hoping that he gets another retreat to somehow escape.

Ending turn completed the Temple of Temporance, can I get an almighty “Who cares?” from the backrow.

On the positive side, at least I’m getting a free GSci. smile

"who cares?!" :neenernee

Seriously though, this has been a very enjoyable thread. It was, in fact, what got me started on lurking here regularly a year or so ago. your mix of witticism, competence at the game, your diplomacy and the occasional luck has made for an engrossing and amusing thread. It's kinda dying down now, but eh, nothing lasts forever. especially not games smile

Shhhh, he'll stop posting if you talk like that. I still want to see the conclusion.

If he stops posting he'll need to set up a centaur landfill. lol

Well, what I meant to imply was that I won't get all teary-eyed when this PBEM ends. I still want to see it through to the end, though. Besides, "I was lazy" is a less bad excuse for Pocketbeetle to skimp on updating than "A lurker said he liked the thread, now I'm gonna stop posting, neener-neener-neener :neenernee"

"Who cares?"

(WTF does the Temple of Temporance actually do anyway?)

Nevermind, I thought you were saying who cares about the update, forgot the bit about the Temple of Templeness. Just ignore me...

PB, what turn is the game actually at? Because if there's more than one turn sitting in the "not updated" file, I need to start writing another story.
