American Accents Make Me Laugh!

The ZoS use some sort of voice over the internet chat function and I ended up trying it tonight with one of my Diablo 1 friends just via yahoo messenger.

Damn American accents are funny!

I seem to remember reading some post when i was checking the back logs, about the RB trying this sort of thing out (maybe i'm mistaken, a brief look just now, didn't turn up anything). If the RB have used something like this in the past and it's still functional, hook me up so I can laugh at you all .

If not... without any prior thought and no real conviction, I am starting a petition to demand something be done about this!

We use Teamspeak, Drasca has a server set up, next time you're in a game with him, ask about it. We also sometimes borrow the AB teamspeak server for our D2 team variant games, and I believe once upon a time one of Sirian's friends had one going for a D2 team variant.

He'd not get much of a laugh out of the Seven Samurai crowd. Everyone but Hawk and me is Canadian, a different accent from "American." (Amy, Shadow, You, Shissak being from the Great White North.) My accent is very mixed, as I grew up all over, though I can lapse into New York or Texan/Virginian/Southern/Pilot without too much trouble. Hawk's sounds rather neutral, for all that she lives in North Carolina.

Perhaps that is the giggle our Kiwi friend (talk about funny accents, pronouncing back "bek") is looking for: North American accents.

Oregon and Michigan may well appear to be "Great White North" from a Texan viewpoint, but they still are not Canadian.
