So lets call this batle off.
Nap until turn 190.
Militay reductioin how everyone want to doit,me for sure i will delete some units.
Reply to this one and i will propose peace in game.
Silver when will be posible.
spreding hinduism its excelent.
Quote:Hi Luddite,
I mentioned in my email that Macedon "checked" your stack - maybe I wasn't explicit enough but I was refering to this attack.
From my point of view the terms of peace are quite OK - except the part ( which I don't fully understand ) with the new city which you plan to found West from Lupu. Could you details this more ? And the way in which you will not perform a "culture-pressure" towards our capital ?
Best regards,
Ioan
Quote:Hi Luddite,
It's me again. Spreading Hinduism will help us - but also will give you easier city-visibility ... I could live with this but maybe we can arrange a "Non-Espionage Appendix" to our NAP then ?
Best regards,
Ioan

Quote:Well whatever, I don't care too much about that attack, I guess you guys just wanted the GG.
About the city- It's not really west of Lupu. Well, 1 tile west and 2 tiles north, so it's directly south of the silver city, and not really trying to expand west. I mean I won't try to get culture control of any tiles 2 west of the copper. Shouldn't be a problem since your capital has culture control there anyway, and it's putting out at least 10 culture per turn with the pyramids.
I can agree on no espionage spending, sure. If you propose peace in game then I'll accept.
So, basically it's just a white truce. NAP until turn 190, i get the land east of where his territory is now but i won't try to grab more, and I'm going to give him silver whenever I hook up the other silver. I'll spread hinduism to his cities, but will not spend any more espionage on him (I already have plenty lol). No formal agreement on deleting units, but we'll exchange military screenshots to prove we're not building up more. But, no exact agreement on when to do that.
And for what it's worth... Turn 190 is (rough estimate) right about when I expect I could get knights, if I beeline guilds

I'm a little suprised about the military screenshots thing, given how much info you got from his that he sent you. Are you permitted to censor it down to only the military info?

Yeah I'm a little surprised that he'd agree to that again, too. We haven't discussed any details- I've posted all of our communication here.

So, with the war over, I've gone into EXPANSION MODE. This is what I was building last turn. The basic plan is that my biggest cities build workers/settlers, while the smaller cities build infrastruce and grow.
No need to finish the heroic epic right now. I'll let murphy's grow and finish the lighthouse, and then start building settlers/workers there.
Out of Bounds will be an awesome production city. I whipped the ziggurat here, and then started it on Scwedagon Paya (which is almost finished in Kinsale too, for fail gold).
I whipped this settler in Peacemonger. I want to make sure I close the border with mackoti in case he's tempted to sneak in a city there, and this will give good overflow towards the National Epic.
My mighty (but not quite might enough) army! Unfortunately they're costing me too much money, so I deleted 5 vultures. Maybe I should delete more, I dunno. I'd just hate to delete units and then find I need them again.
Demographics. I've got a long way to go to rebuild, if I want to catch the leaders (plako and parkin).
Guiness is pumping out settlers in just 4 turns, while also generating lots of nice commerce. The first settler from here is heading for that ivory in the southwest.
And look what my warrior discovered in the west! I didn't realize that mackoti had a connection to all this empty land. He'll have a lot more room to expand than I realized. However, he'll have to fight sleepingmoogle and adlain for it. And it's not great land anyway- grassland, but lots of jungle, and very few food resources.
Here's what I love about being expansive, industrious Sumeria. NO ONE can set up new cities as fast as me! I settled this city just 8 turns ago, it's already size 2, with a granary and almost a forge. I get a discount on EVERYTHING. 1- chop a granary, 2-pop whip or chop a forge, 2-pop whip or chop a lighthouse, and grow on colossus coast while building the 90-hammer ziggurat. For Ohara's, I'm going to 1-pop whip the forge, and then finish the lighthouse with 1 chop. I can build missionaries too, so there's no need for monuments. It's very worker efficient too, since Im working so many coastal tiles. I'm hoping that I'll be able to recover my economy in record time, and make a comeback in demographics.

In diplo, I've been chatting with various people. Short update is- rego tried to put together a coalition against plako, but it failed. Nakor apparently has a NAP against plako, and I think parkin does too.
I've extended my NAP with parking until T210. Very long extension, but Parkin really wanted it. I was hoping that might mean he was planning a war against plako, but apparently not.
plako told me that he knew there was an effort to form a group against him. I told him that Parkin was trying to put it together A war between them would GREATLY help me right now. That might be my only chance to get into the lead in this game.

Techwise, after I finish currency, I'm going to go for music and pick up the free great artist. Then I can trigger a golden age, and switch into Hinduism and Pacifism for free.

Hey Ludds, how about an overall dotmap of planned cities and estimated order of settlement WOuld be nice to see exactly how many cities you think you can squeeze in.

First of all, sorry for not updating my thread recently. I'm going through a lot of problem in my personal life right now, so updates will be sparse for the next few weeks.
I don't have a detailed order of settling. But, you can see on all my screenshots that I've marked the locations where I'm planning to settle with a "C" sign. Basically I'm squeezing in as many cities as I can, to work all those nice colossus coast tiles. I'm up to 16 cities now, while plako is in the lead with 21, and Parkin is in 2nd with 18.
Here's my land in the south. Notice I've got just enough beakers to get music next turn Locke warned me that Parkin was gunning for it.
And this one... ugh. Parkin just bitched at me in chat for over an hour because I settled Kish, saying it's "despicable" and "slimeball" and "how can I trust you", demanding I give it to him, etc. Technically I did break our border agreement, but after I've given him so much I just don't care very much any more. It's such a marginal city, too. He should just get over it.
