At this point, I swapped back over to my WB save to check on a few things.

Can you save a pbem mid-turn? Never tried.

You're not kidding. According to my chat log he started at 3:34 p.m. He then attacked one unit at a time, with frequent pop outs to world builder (which I think was on his work machine). Last IM was at 7:15 p.m.:

This was a bit before he go to the dregs, so 3+ hours total . Well worth the end result, I think .

Yeah it took about 4-5 hours. You can save a PBEM turn mid-turn. You just have to be sure not to accidentally "cheat" by reloading after battles. At one point my computer started to not respond and I was terrified that I was going to lose the results that I had gotten up to that point and/or the post I was typing up as it went, but I managed to shut down enough other things that it recovered.

The turn ended up being about 4-5 hours plus a few hours for finishing up the post. It was convenient of Shoot to move his stack in on a Saturday for me

Turn came back around and WK took one of Shoot's island cities. No other moves by Shoot towards me. I'm healing up and I also moved my settler and GG from my off-shore city onto the mainland, covered by a bunch of injured cavs. I hope that wasn't a mistake - I probably should have waited 1 turn till I had more healthy units that could cover it.

Thanks. I agree - lack of patience is the one thing that hurts me when I play SP games.

I don't get it. Good to hear that the Bulls made the playoffs again after I stopped paying attention to the NBA after Jordan retired (the second time), though.
