Rebalancing Civ4: RtR Mod

I changed no Python. It's probably pretty straightforward to pull out my C++ changes and reimplement them on the BUG codebase. Cyneheard has all my code, I'm traveling this week and don't have it in front of me.

Well, thanks to Ruff we now have an RB+BUG combined mod...just played a bit with it. Seems bloated though?

I will post that here as well, hoping for a solution. This is from RBPBEM 16, where we test this mod currently:

Quote:Hi,
I am travelling next week (Sat-Sat) and want to take the laptop to play on.
I installed the 3.19 patch for BtS and the RBMod 1.34.
Everything seems to run smoothly (ie. I can start new games with the mod, etc.)
However when trying to load a RBPBEM16 save game, it crashes to desktop. I glimpsed for a split second a " ... PROTECTED ..." CIV error message.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Other save games that don't use the mod load fine.

Thanks.

Krill, is PBEM16 precisely using v1.34? There were minor changes that happened at several points during the run-up to that game starting, so I don't recall precisely which version was settled on.

Thanks for looking into this, Cyneheard.
If it helps, I am using the exact same mod folder on both machines (just copied it across).

Can you load a savegame for any other mod on this machine?

If not, then you probably have changed or extra files in that machine's base Civ 4 or Beyond the Sword folders.

pbem with mods are flaky. Even changing the cloud level results in a civ4 'not same mod' error.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Both Civ4 and BtS are straight out of the box installations.
I can try with another mod. FfH2 probably.

Hmmm. My laptop was said not to be up to recommended specs and all the graphics was turned to Low. Maybe its that. Let me try forcing it to High.
