Is there a way to take a screenshot without it showing the research bar and the commerce sliders?
[SPOILERS] Bismark of Sumeria (luddite + Atlas1998)

Isn't there a "bare map" view, or a "natural map" view that gets rid of the user interface?
Try Alt + I.
You could also replace it and say you're researching Agriculture.

Plako came through for me again
Quote:If there is lot of will I think we might want to try to deny Economics Merchant from him. I don't know who would have best shot at it. Maybe Locke? If we all loan money for him to run at 100% towards it and then he could repay us with intrest that might work. Opinions? Anyone having a shot at it should say how many turns you would need to get to Economics at 100% + full research emphasis and how much gold per turn you would need to do it.Unfortunately, even if everybody loaned me gold so I could run max science, I don't think I could beat Parkin to economics right now. He just teched guilds in one turn! And his gold barely even went down. DMOC Wrote:Isn't there a "bare map" view, or a "natural map" view that gets rid of the user interface? Thanks, this is what I was looking for. A few brief updates: Apparently mackoti has been dumping EP points on me for a while now, despite our no-espionage agreement. I just lost visibility on all his cities. I'm focusing EP on him for a while. He's currently teching engineering, another war tech. However, he still has no source of iron. I've asked all the other players not to trade him any iron. Also, his tech pace is much slower than mine- it'll take him 7 turns to finish engineering, whereas i could do it in just 3 or 4. I might actually be able to get rifling before our NAP expires on turn 190, or at least soon afterwards. Parkin just finished banking, again in one turn. Apparently he can run max research and only lost about 100 gold. Not good! The sistine chapel will finish in 10 turns, or 8 if I slave away half the city. I'll probably slave it, just to make sure I get it. I've asked other players to send me missionaries for the remaining religions (my excuse was that I wanted more monasteries, which is partly true). Plako said yes, Locke said he doesn't have any taoist monasteries yet, and parkin hasn't responded.
So parkin just teched economics in one turn- that's REALLY not good. at least his gold went down from doing that. I'm starting to get nervous that he might actually get machine guns before we can invade.
Mackoti had a big spike in power this turn. No idea what that was about. He still doesn't have iron.
I just posted this in the PV forum:
Quote:Guys we need to seriously reconsider our plans. He got economics in 1 turn, which means he can research more than 2000 beakers per turn! And now he's in free market, which will pump up his research rate even more. By my count, he could get to rifling in just 4 turns, and then get to assembly line or railroad just 10 turns after that! Of course he might detour for techs like democracy or astronomy, but it hardly matters- he's going to have either machine guns or infantry before turn 200, probably both. His tech rate will go down after his golden age ends, but there's no reason he can't start another golden age in the next 20 turns. MWIN Wrote:Actually, there is one more option:no way! I just settled my last city. Now I can work the whole sea, to take maximum advantage of the colossus. I still need to worry about Mackoti though. Look at all the resources Parkin is giving him! That makes me suspect that he'll gift mackoti iron, also. It mgiht be time to stop giving mackoti silver. To that end I started making units in Out of Bounds too (I'm also making them in murphy's with the heroic epic). As soon as my other barracks cities finish their univerisities they can start building units too. And I just got graphs on sleepingmoogle this turn. I wonder what he's up to with this power rating? |
