ZOMFG Kyan, you noob
For those that don't get the see the turn, Kyan got the Alchemist event that lets you either buy a healing salve for 10 gold, do nothing, or buy an alchemy lad for 50 gold. Only problem, the griffon that triggered the event wasn't in a city even though it's going to be healing for the next 10 turns one tile away from a city. The griffon would heal faster in the city, and that's the second unit you've just left healing slowly outside cities.
Let this be a lesson to you [/Corporal Nobbs]

So which option did you go with? I don't think you can get the Alchemist lab yet due to not having Sorcery or whatever. Hopefully you picked up the potion- they can be incredibly useful; if you have a nice unit like a super-freak or whatever who almost dies attacking a city, the potion will ensure that he doesn't get instantly annihilated on the opponent's turn. They're also great for blitz units, so that you can heal between attacks (and blitz is a fairly common random freak promo).

He did take the potion. Why can't the griffon just move into the city?

It's nice to see Krill ripping someone else in their own thread for once .

I checked the XML. There is no tech prerequisite. +4bpt and +10% science for 50 gold is a no brainer.

Check harder. I tried to choose this but it wouldn't let me and i had enough gold.
Took the potion for 10g and popped a graveyard and got 26g. Up to 75g saved now.
I didn't know that you healed faster in cities than in culture. Good to know.

That's because the the griffon wasn't in the city, you couldn't pick it. If the griffon was in the city, you could pick it.

For all lurkers, this was of course a deliberate choice to limit the luck we were receiving in this game. We can't take the piss...

Can I wrest control of this game from you, and force you to be my stooge?
Darrell just said that this event can lead to Mary Morbius and Galen.
