I correct myself; the Circle of Galen only requires a Mage Guild. Mary Morbius comes from an Alchemy Lab, and I believe that it always happens with the first Alchemy Lab built? Kind of like you get Aeron's Mark with the first L6 Assassin.

We'll be at sorcery first regardless which means we'll build the lab first regardless. So, shh..!

Wow, learn something new about FFH every time you play
Paging Dr. Sareln, I think this event should probably work the way I mistaken thought it did Mary Mobius has access to what is quite possibly THE best collateral damage spell (baring world spells), and has absolutely no business being anywhere but the late middle / late game.
Also Krill, you really ought to play in one of these games! Like, as your own civ :P Watching you destroy the world as the Sheaim or Infernals or discover just how broken the game can get with someone like the Amurities would be a treat =)

Maybe one day, but really, I can't get my head around the idea of spending 50 turns of a 200 turn game just plodding along trying not to die to barbs. That and I like the Balseraphs theme too much. I am going to play Hyborem in PBEM8 though...

I guarantee we will get Mary before the 'late middle'. Also, leave my jester alone!
I need my whole motley comedic harem to function properly.

I thought that event wouldn't allow you the alchemy lab unless you had the tech neccessary to build it anyway? Or am I mistaken? Oh well.

I'm pretty sure the first one must have a % chance to spawn Mary. Otherwise wouldn't everyone rush alchemy labs?
