A quick start guide that might help explain the basic rules:

At least, I found it helped me follow what's happening in Diplo1 quite a bit. It's much easier to read and listen and understand than the standard manual, although it doesn't cover all the corner cases.

No dedicated lurkers is probably a good idea actually. Do we want a stickied lurkers thread though?

Also, I assume it's ok to answer rules questions if asked? (Like, if i do this, he does that, and a third power does this, what happens kinda things, without volunteering anything other than exactly what was asked.)

That was my assumption, and I've already given out a little of that sort of info - but if the players don't like that, then it's best to know now before too much spills. I certainly won't be suggesting moves to anyone (although I might let someone know if they're trying to do something illegal).

Answering questions should be OK. As long as the questions are less like "What's the best orders I can give right now?" and more like "What is an SC?"

Did the deadline change by a day? I personally don't mind, but I read Friday 20:00 GMT here but got a reminder from Nakor today that the deadline is going to be at Thursday 20:00 GMT.

Is there an email address or something where we should be sending the turns to?



Also please stick a map up on the first page and update the rules! It would be nice to know what the game looks like as soon as I click on the thread, even if it's only turn 0 right now.
