Oh I do too - I've even had other players ask me to not post something in my thread and I go "yeah sure" and then post it anyways . But from having played enough - I would never fault someone for wanting to keep something under wraps just a bit longer just in case.

I think it's also worth noting that LP is new to the forums and therefore hasn't built up this trust yet. After finishing the games and reading over threads, he'll likely realise he was worrying over nothing and become more trusting. Don't want to derail the thread too much, but there are lots of personal opinions about to be expressed.
I hope that I've always made sure to include a deserved compliment on LP's good play whenever I've made a comment about him. I also should always caveat that it's my own impression of his posts, which may not represent his actual feelings or personality.
I still feel new to RB, as scooter rightly observes. However, I'm delighted with how sensible, grown up, and friendly virtually everybody seems to be. The only thing that bugs me is that some people seem to take playing a game a little too seriously for my tastes.

scooter Wrote:I don't mean this as a slight or knock against you - but I generally find that the people who complain when players do this are people who haven't actually played in one of these games. It's much easier to understand LP on something like that when you've actually invested the kind of time he has into the game. No offence taken, and I completely appreciate that point of view, but this links back to my feelings expressed above. Only one team in ten was ever going to win this game, so my approach would always be to have as much fun as possible while finding out who the winner will be. If youâre intending to enjoy CIV by playing a multiplayer game on a forum, then in my mind a big part of that fun must surely be interacting with the other players and keeping up an informative or interesting thread. Maybe Iâm a little too idealistic, or not competitive enough?
On this specific example, it was again the way Lord Parkin said it: âOh, Iâve got screenshots, but Iâm not going to share them :neenerneeâ. It just could have been expressed in a better way.
Enough about my psychology... back to the game! Can Locke get back to competing with LP if he gets all Adlain's land in working order?

I think this image demonstrates well why LP is safe.

Last I checked Adlain's lands looked undeveloped as hell. Weird, I thought he would be better developed than that. Of course, if that was the case, Locke and SM may have never had a case for eating Adlain.

I can't imagine why he wouldn't have that protection in EVERY city(Except in-land cities that can't possibly be hit). He knows they're gifting naval units, so I don't see why he wouldn't expect an assault from the sea. And he's drafting 5 units a turn: roughly half of the stack I pointed out.
So my point is that Plako and co are going to face that in EVERY city, probably upgraded to Infantry. How are they going to deal?
(I enjoy the Art of War quotes, though! I actually got that for my birthday this year. I've been reading it a good deal.)

You know, going back to the misclick thing, I think it would have been granted if say LP had done something like liberated the city of Leo to Gaspar. At least I think you can disable those by disabling the advisor, as it doesn't bring up an icon on the top left.
I think LP should be fine, nothing's getting through those machine guns, I wouldn't even trust amphibious CRII rifles.

CKNs do collateral to machine guns from boats, but I suspect not nearly enough.

Well, they'll probably be slightly better than cats. And we've seen cats vs machine guns before, heh. [strike]Of course I don't think plako is going to have ~120 CKNs...[/strike] Hmm, apparently rego only had 45 cats on the mainland.
