Huh, ok. I didn't quite grasp that, apparently. ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Then we aren't getting Smy unless I moves out. Which he might do, true, but he bounced with T this spring.
I guess that makes it:
Con -> Smy, Bla -> Con, Bul s Ser -> Gre (to help A for losing Rum), everyone else hangs out?

Austria is annoyed, probably rightfully so
Quote:Just saw the resolves. Look, its fine with me if you just want to kill me off now because you don't trust me. I don't really care. I just think you are being foolish given that I could have stabbed you again back when I let you back into warsaw, so you know I'm not going to stab you later. All I want is to kill off Rowain and your moves this spring did not indicate any willingness to do that.
Whatever. If you want to take Vie with Rowains support from Tyr and Ser with support from Rum, that's fine.
I'm going to do the same moves again. I don't think Rowain will expect me to use the fall to set up grabbing an SC in the fall. I'm betting he will expect me to attack Ven instead.
From Italy
Quote:I think I prefer your support into AEG this fall. ION might be needed for a bounce again. With luck you might take another center from Austria after which he should crumble quite fast. Or maybe TYR - VIE with support from GAL . HAve to think more about it.

Replied to Austria
Quote:You got it all wrong man! It's not a matter of not trusting you - Italy told me if I didn't make certain orders, that he would evacuate his west to Germany, with the idea of letting him get 18 centers and solo. I just need to make sure that when we do drop the hammer on Italy, that we do it in a big way - not just for 1 SC or so.
Up to you what moves you make - you may be right. He did mention to me that he wants me to support Smy-Aeg because he might need Ion to bounce again. Obviously if we know he's going to order Ion-Apu again, Adr-Ion is a HUGE move. Tunis is where you want to be for sure - right on the stalemate line.
I know you want to kill Rowain and I support that, but I can't do it at the expense of Uberfish soloing.

Excerpt of chat with uberfish

me: ooh that sounds fun ;-)
uberfish: well I'd just fight you then

So uberfish wants to bounce in prussia and stp because he (rightfully) smells a rat.
Rowain says
Quote:Feel free to use RUM, BUL,GAL as you wish (as long as it is against Austria). If you need A TYR to attack a specific center let me know. In the south I would like your support from SMY into AEG.
and Amelia indicated that she'd be holding in Greece. Do we dare let Rowain move Smy-Aeg and follow behind him into Smyrna? While supportinng Lewwyn to Greece?

We don't have much option other than bouncing with uber then if we want to maintain the peace this turn. We don't yet have the force needed to oppose him in the north.
Regarding Smy, if we want a 2-way draw I don't see we have much choice, we are not getting any more Italian centers anytime soon and we need to start taking away from I's ability to support a large navy or we will never get out of east Med with our own fleets. Moreover A will soon lose patience with us if we stay on the fence during a fall turn.
If I wants to throw the game to G there's not much we can do about it; that option was always on the table since A stabbed us and then turned around and threw away their ability to compete with G. Frankly our triangle has collectively wasted far too much time dicking around for even a 2-way draw to be anything more than a long shot at this point.
The only other option I see is to fully stab A and work toward a 3-way, which you've indicated distaste for previously (the 3-way, not the stab.)

Do you think that working closely with Rowain we could crush Germany? If so, then we need to do what he says. If not...I'm tempted to say "accelerate the endgame here" and support Lewwyn into Greece and head for Smy. I'd rather have 2nd with everyone else dead and Germany soloing than a 3-way draw because we can't make anything happen.

No - I think Germany is unassailable. Even if we controlled Italy's units I'm not sure we could make it happen.

Then let's accept we are playing for second place. On that basis, Rowain's threat is valueless and we should work to reduce his combat power as much as possible while keeping our northern border as strong as practicable withou being confrontational, to reduce the likelihood of a stab by G.

2nd place? I don't think so my friend.
