There is a program, called Matlab, used in engineering. It indexes from 1 instead of 0. This causes no small amount of trouble when teaching engineers programming.

I use Matlab daily, and I absolutely hate this. Hate it.

I've done my fair share, but I generally focussed on the output being as meaningful as possible...

At least it isn't like excel and is inconsistent with the lower bound ... sometimes and auto-created array starts at 1, sometimes it starts at 0.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It was created in the 1970s and a piece of crap because it didn't ever leave the 1970s.

But for a tool, its quite handy if you can stand it.

I was telling Cyneheard that you should use 5x5 gaussians instead of 1x1 tiles for propagation since the fundamental unit of Civ is the city. and not the single tile.

Dot maps matter. Keep the tile.

New version up, with some block editing functionality added:

Select an area (drag a rectangle in the map) and crop to that area
Rotate the map Clockwise or Counter-Clockwise
Resize the map
Rotate the map around a corner, to create a map four times larger with point symmetry around that corner. (See screenshot)

Novice, this is awesome...just, so, so useful for making maps. NowI'm starting to thinkof whole new map scripts and mods to play...

Thanks! That was the idea, that this is functionality typically needed when designing maps.

Also in the pipe is mirroring across one of the four edges and repeating the map x times horizontally or vertically. I just need to make the mirroring work correctly for rivers.

Not to mention FFH support!
