I emailed this to plako and ASM but just for general FYI sunrise089 is going to play our half of the turn at about midnight EST which should (Barely) fit into our window

We seem to have found the Master. Puppets are already dancing wink.

And take your time. My next playing slot is tomorrow evening pretty close to 0 timer left.

It seems that all my hopes to stop Lord Parkin has been crushed this turn. I don't see any feasible (=non-cheesy) way to deny victory from him to someone else, so I suggest we call this a game and crown him as the winner of it.

Since this is not agreed way to end the game, I think that only unanimous desicion is acceptable. So do you object/support the suggestion?

I would like to play on, at least for a little while. It would be a shame to build up for all this time only to give up on the game after 1 turn of war. It's still a long way from being over yet, and it looks like a few interesting things will be happening in the coming turns (and not all in my favour). I can't be the only one still having some fun with this game, surely?

I say we keep going for now. I've finished games before where I've been losing terribly from right at the start (not just partway through), and in fact there are very few games I can recall that my regular pitboss group ever left unfinished. I realise RB doesn't have the best history of finishing pitboss games (only 1 of 3 so far), so it'd be nice to improve that tally.

That's my 2 cents anyway. smile

Alright. Let's play.

In general with tech trading on it is way more feasible to play it to the end. Tech trading on with runaway civ makes it virtually impossible to catch up especially when leader has allies like you do.

Tech trading on produces long draggy games while tech trading produces ridiculously one sided games :\

Maybe if warring wasn't so much 'always a bad move' after the first 50 turns or so :|

Imma gonna go read the lurker thread now since the game is for all intents and purposes over.

Both have their flaws, yes. But I've had surprisingly balanced games both with NTT and TT. It depends on the players, the map, and the diplomatic situation. But yes, it'd be nice if there was a middle ground between NTT and TT (and no tech brokering doesn't count).

So warring was a bad move for me? For Locke? For Moogle? For Plako at T110? For Luddite? smile

In that case, I trust you will no longer be posting in Plako's thread. Is Plako okay with doing things alone from now on?

I'll post where I please but I won't be spoilering the game. He's the turn player so it won't effect his ability to play.

Warring seems to be 100% the wrong move until you're so far ahead, you've already won the game economically. tongue
