Started the turn with an event:
This delays that settler by 1 turn but i think that might be fixable with more in-depth micro (borrowing the sheep). Could have been worse.
Apart from that, dull turn.

We attack next turn and can safely escape before his mate joins in. Perfect. I vote Zorn gets the 'Giantslayer' or similar surname as a reward for his efforts on ridding Erebus of these foul beasts.

Nah, Anita can build the settler 1 turn later but overflow as many hammers as possible to build a warrior afterwards.

T74 turn report. Due a new city in 2 turns, city 6, and finished the settler for city 7 this turn. Gems will be hooked up next turn so all of those unhappy faces won't be there next turn. City 4 (AK) can grow to size 7, so it'll end up working 4 plains hill mines, or 3 and the incense, for a minimum hpt of 15.
Zorn is healing and waiting for the HG to move into range, then it's just a single 80% battle to see if we have a shot at the FotT.
The tiger and Krusty the Hunter are 22, 23 turns away from the capital. That is how long Thorn has to find a bear and wold for us to get the Menagerie at full speed. According to Rawwking there are a few bears wandering around. I figure they are good near recruits for our army, or a good source of culture and happiness. Or one then t'other.
Going to be building workers in AB and HC, probably 3 total I reckon, only one from AB though.
The sixth city is going to get a monument first (working the plains forest, due in 8) and a freak showfrom the following Freak. Yes, the freak is decent, Heroic strength and Sentry, but really, we don't lose anything awesome there - we just built a freak from the capital, interrupting Deruptus, and that came out with resist fire, Empower 1, and Heroic Strength 1. The aim is to get that city to 50 culture asap so that Rawwking can't plant his city and we have undisputed control of the mana.
The Grigori turned up with some roading workers as expected, and some warriors. I'm just waiting to see if they are warrior rushing - if they are, they are going to have to push through a C2/Shock bronze warrior, a heavy, strong and withered bronze freak and an ele. Plus whatever else I decide to build there, easy 2 turn C1 bronze warriors. I think we have an NAP, but meh.
Everything is in hand. Just gotta rush to the FotT now, and we're about 6 turns away from Mil Sci. Rawwking just founded OO, so I think we're safe, but, well, wait and see, I suppose.

What does the Menagerie do anyway?

+2 happy in all cities, and it's cheap at 80 hammers for a world wonder. Only problem is, you need to capture a bunch of animals: a lion, a tiger, a bear, a wolf, and a gorilla. Supposedly some of them are ungodly difficult to find...and you normally have to wait until a fair distance into the game to get units that can capture animals (well, capture them with good odds). Kyan managed to pop a 2 units that can capture the animals in the first 15 turns of the game, and then stumbled upon the hardest animal to find of the whole lot 15 turns after that. Right now, the only units we haven't seen that we need are a bear and a wolf, and supposedly there are a bunch of bears and a tile that spawns bears just northof one of our hunters.

Found a bear den. I don't want to destroy it too early though (it's the one up by Rawwking). I'm going to try and sort out a deal where we get to destroy the den if it doesn't spawn any more units, so we get at least one bear, but leave it free to spawn a couple more units if possible. On top of that, we're up to 98bpt, with wheat coming online in about 8 turns, Deruptus due next turn, and not working either of the incense tiles. Looking like we can breach 130bpt at max in about 10 turns? And I'm thinking we'll have Mil Strat by eot t79.
