Seven, you may be interested to know that GES has similar things to say about you as you and Commodore have to say about Luddite. I wonder if the lurkers have commented on that at all in the lurker thread.
Other than that, well... all that sounds quite good.
Also, I feel like I'm imagining proxy war suggestions in everyone's messages, now.

From the conversation between Seven and Commodore, there seemed to be a sentiment that Luddite is a bit of a ringer for GES's team. GES has said to me that he considers Seven to be a ringer for our team.

Really? I missed that completely, if Commodore intended that. (Don't think he did though.)
I don't think that's the case. I think GES is a strong player.
Btw: I chatted with Luddite as the tracker has had GES having the save for 21 hours. I think it's not set up for him yet but he assumed it was. Should be fixed now.
AFAICT Luddite is now taking over because GES doesn't want to play the late game.
I also looked through some of the last turns which I didn't play and noticed that GES had not gifted us the 200g he said he would gift us. So I asked Luddite for that. Should be on its way the turn after next, as he's already played this round.

I'll cheerfully render moral support in any attempts to slow down the Luddite train.
12:18 PM Or "the artist formerly known as GES"
Not wanting to play lategame, and/or the fact that we kind of squeezed him on time slots by accident makes a lot more sense. I had somehow missed out on that subtext when he was asking for the tracker to forward to Luddite.

I expect this to net us 2-3 happiness here. Hooking the wines will add +1, and a spice-dye trade with Commodore will add yet another (assuming he accepts). This should give us enough happiness that we don't starve. And in two more turns the borders will pop, giving the fish, and we won't have to worry anymore.
Uh... change of plans. Absolutely DON'T whip a monastery for 2 pop. Just start it. If we do so, it will lose the three happiness from Representation!!
We shouldn't starve anyway. It will only have 1-2 unhappiness and can work all 2f tiles except for 2 3f ones. So it will be fine, and we can 1-pop whip the monastery next turn like civilized people.

How does that help the happiness situation?
I have to run.

Really we just need to kill MNG off. Alternatively we could whip the monastery, switch to something else like a Colosseum, whip that as well. If we're going to lose the pop to starvation why not use it?

We're not losing anything to starvation! Everything is fine. Whipping stuff from scratch is bad here.
The 1-pop whip is just good, it doesn't need to help with happiness. It hastens the border pop for fish by 2t and gives the 2 AP hammers. For happiness, we'll probably get Notre Dame soon and MNG will die soon, either of which would be enough alone.
