Mack went WB. He starts with Fishing. He has 10 Food so an FP - 3, fish w/ WB - 5 and cap -2 = 10

Ah, I see. Makes sense then. I tried to run C&D in 19, but quickly got bored lol so not really doing it this time, just keeping track of score increases

We have contact! A pretty lady of Egyptian appearance tells us that she's the ruler of Ottomans, advised by wise men Sian and Ichabod

Meanwhile in the south

Our Worker will be born next turn, I assume he should put 1t of road into cows, the go irrigate the rice. And we should build a Warrior next

Worker moved as described. Not much exploration info, but I had a peek at Ottoman's capital

They have rice next to the city, not 2 tiles away!

NS7 discovered another tech

We should totally declare war and stick the scout on their rice to block their worker...

Hey, I thought you were going to skip the first 10 turns! lol

They were already improving the rice when I got there, so I couldn't do that. And their warrior can kill the scout, too. Not this time I'm afraid

A war was declared against us. By a panther. It attacked our scout, but he survived. Barely (10HP left). He'll have to heal for a few turns

Good news: there is food near the gems. Bad news: it's seafood, so we need Fishing

If there's no food in the west, 1E of the gems seems to be the best spot for the gems city

9, 10 whats the difference jive

And yeah...seafood dang it. I'm thinking settle on the plains tile there next to the gems.

First settler goes? Either there or north. to a double food site pity that rice is under jungle... like everything else.

Interesting map. Lots of interesting tech decisions to make. Do we settle south and force fishing, do we settle north and force AH and IW. Settle West and force Hunting? All of these settling positions are asking us to make a tech choice.

BTW I think that the west and NW cities are backfill and should be settled later. Thus we can put off Hunting. If we go south we can actually put off AH a bit more as well. Also those gems could really help us burn through all the techs we do need (AH, Pottery, religion techs for Oracle). I think I'm talking myself into settling south...

I'm also going to put together an early dotmap I think. Though I'm not getting any of the save right now. Could you send me the latest when you get the chance Yuris?

South, there's no guarantee the plains will have a food tile. Crabs isn't a super hot tile anyway, but hey, we're going to be good for early commerce anyway. How should we get the workboat out? Work the 2/1 grass forest while chopping it for the workboat, and after that start improving the gems? This means working unimproved tiles for 2 turns as the workboat builds and moves. Or, improve the gems first, and then chop the forest? Then we'll end up not working gems for a few turns anyway.

I think we'll absolutely need early IW.

I also thought about the plains tile. We'll see if there's food in the west when we get another warrior out. Copper will play a major part in any city planning

We'll see about that workboat after we know for sure we need it smile

Lewwyn, I'll forward you T11 save as soon as I get it. yournick at gmail, right?
