Played T15, but nothing interesting is going to happen for a few turns, until the new warrior reaches the blackness in SE and the scout heals up

The starting warrior is going to go and kill (hopefully) that lion for XP

Next turn there finally will be new map info - Warrior reached the unexplored land in SE

What should the Worker do next? Road the hill and the rice? I don't see a better option. BW is still 5t away, just enough time to road 2 tiles. The new Worker can farm the flood plains I guess

Any better ideas?

2 roads sounds fine to me, though I don't think the road is necessary on the mine. Maybe 1 turn of road on the rice, finish the cow and then start roading toward the 2nd city? If it roads a forest it might even get that forest chopped by the new worker. In any case I would definitely put the new worker to chopping instead of farming the FP. In fact, I would rather we waited until pottery and cottaged the FP instead.

We really got a bit screwed by the Civ's starting techs as I've said before. Otherwise we wouldn't of had to research both agr and mining before BW and AH. Not really much we can do about it though. Just a tiny bit slower start.

Well, I'm fine with a slow start, as long as we can make a fast finish in 100 turns or so lol (here's to hoping the pace improves, and these 100 turns don't take a year)

Agree, the hill doesn't need a road right now. I'll tell the worker to road rice, then see how to optimise his work with the 2nd worker

The 2nd worker will be out before BW hits, so he can finish the road on cows before choosing the forest to chop

Played T18. Nothing interesting happening. A panther appeared near to our scout, I moved him away. Hope there are no animals smile

Our 2nd Worker is ready. Settler next, right? Or grow to size 3? BW is still 3 turns away

How fast does the city grow? How fast does the Settler get done if the city grows before starting the settler? If you wait will the two chops complete the settler when they are finished?

I should look at the save but I'm a busy this morning. I'll try to do so after work.

My calculations:

Growing to size 3 will take 4 turns. We can build 2 Warriors in this time, and have 2 hammers invested in the Settler. We will build at 10 foodhammers/t
So, start building Settler on T23 (2/65), on T25 he's at 22/65 and receives 2 chops = 48/65, finished on T27

If we start Settler immediately, 2h overflow + 9 foodhammers/t, on T23 he will be at 40/65, and 2 chops will finish him

Growing to size 3 earlier will also give us an extra cpt, but we will get more by founding the gems city earlier. So looks like Settler immediately is much better

Chose Settler next in the capital

The first Worker finished roading the rice. Next turn he'll finish roading the cows, then move to the forest NW of the rice and start chopping it on the turn BW comes in
The new Worker will road the forested hill 2S of the capital, then chop that forest
