And all the wine in the world, yet I can't really see a good city site to grab them. I suppose there's no rush to go north in any event.
So true. Lewwyn and I were just kibitzing about the crappy potential sites in the north. I think city 4 will go for the eastern corn, but no clue where city 5 is going atm. Regardless, despite perhaps the odd mistake or two, expansion continues apace. Fishing in this turn onto Pottery with double pre-req discount, due in 4T @100%. The capital starts on a worker which will be whipped next turn overflowing to a settler. Croqueta China got the corn this turn and is working on its own worker. We can get by with 1.5-ish per city until we start settling further out/can pop borders. Its tempting not to whip the worker, as its only a 3T build even working the Oasis instead of the corn, and wait until Pottery comes in to whip a granary. Still, between Croqueta China and soon to be founded City #3, there's 5 first ring forests to chop, so the sooner those get chopped into more workers and settlers, the fast we'll get out in front of this thing.
Haven't discussed tech path yet. After Pottery, I think AH is a decent option, to see where horses are. With barbs on and no neighbors nearby, I like Chariots as a mobile barb defense rather than slower Axes. The cow tiles are incentive as well, sort of, but without a way to pop borders yet, we actually have no AH resources in any city borders yet. I suppose that also makes Mysticism an option, to build a few monuments before we have the Caste option for popping borders. I've tried going the library to pop border route before and its mostly just slow. So unless we're going to say screw it until CoL, Mysticism probably is one of the next two techs.
Here's the updated map, nothing too exciting. I'm using the tried and true name the workers after people who've posted in thread routine at the moment. So Mardoc is 1E of the city 3 location ready to chop out the work boat, which should land 1T after the city is settled. Lewwyn is in position to chop out the rest of that worker. By the by, we need names for the scouting warriors, in case we meet someone. Anyone have any favor Chinese delivery persons? (or a better idea.)
I believe mackoti was the first to two cities, though I'm not doing C&D at all. Hopefully we'll be first to three, but I'm really not going to pay much attention to the others until we have contact, at least.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Could use names of Chinese characters as our unit names.

I like Pottery>AH.
Yes chop the worker! Chop Chop!
You should road the deer so you can easily road the copper when you need to and also provide a path East.

Thanks, Lew. I was totally going to make the copper road over the Oasis before you said something. :P

T25: Agria Dulce (Sweet & Sour) founded. I'm not entirely sure why I find the Spanish-Chinese Restaurant thing so amusing, but I really do. Sue me.
Looks like Commodore is doing the vertical thing. Someone has a Size 5 capital, he's the logical choice there. You can see in the shot a little island poking out from the lake. Knowing Bob, I bet there's something decent there. I'm considering prioritizing getting a galley out of corn city when it gets founded and seeing if we can't plant a settler there. Also, annoyingly you might notice from the tile yields that the fish tile is the only "ocean" tile in that little body of water. So it's a lesser tile than were it coastal. Anyone wanna wager what might be on that small island? Our only source of Iron? Stone/Marble? A barb Marine?
The chops into both the worker and work boat should finish next turn. The new worker, novice is roading toward City 4 which will be founded on the tile that currently has the sign about the lion. That settler's due in 4T, so we'll be at 4 cities at T30. After completing the warrior we'll get a granary in the capital then resume spamming settlers/workers. City 5 will either be settled south of corn for fish or on that island. No ideas really after that. Will have to get IW early if we want to make use of the south.

With that dotmap, I guess you'd eventually want a city 4N of the capital. Another option would be to shift your corn city 1E or 1S (edit: or even 1NE), making room for a city on the plains hill 3N2E of the capital. (I'm assuming there's no seafood up there, outside the screenshot.)
If you know what I mean.

Quick report - exhausted. I really need to get a new job.
Anyway, Pottery in, going to do AH next. There's a fish resource in the north discovered this turn. The resource grouping is really odd on this map - you can tell its hand-drawn. I think another bash at a dotmap is required. I'll post a blank map if anyone else is interested, but I'll take a pop at it tonight.
