- Fin, so not that much more difficult
- I'm intending a pretty hard beeline
- Warrens multiplying settlers and workers for twice the expansion rate of everyone else.
I want Agrarianism and Aristocracy and Sanitation. Above and beyond that, the considerations are RoK (which makes sense anyway), Festivals for Markets (20h as a fin civ), KotE for haste shamans (no need for a node tech). Possibly warfare for FotT, but I personally think that is probably best ignored. Turns out the only tech that doesn't increase the bpt one way or the other is KotE and that's only really wanted for defense or if I see the opportunity to go bangs heads early.

It was a good turn. 1 dead lion, 1 dead goblin warrior, and a newly sighted hut next to a goblin. And yes, I think I can see the mirror of heaven with the wolf rider.

4220 base beakers for Calendar, Ancient Chants, Education, CoL, Smelting and IW. That is what I need to reach Iron Ogres. But a further 500 base beakers for Myst and WotE. Festivals would be 150 base beakers, tbh that probably pays itself back with markets. RoK, though, well, maybe? If I get the shrine, pretty sure it would, but that'de delay an academy but as I'd want to go wide instead of tall that academy is not a great idea...OTOH, that is after I've spent the next 30 turns finishing BW. T55 for BW maybe? So to get all of those techs by t125 I'd need an average base bpt of 61 for the base items, 63bpt withe Festivals, 68 for RoK, 70bpt for everything.
Well, at least Serdoa knows it's me next to him, last time he tried to attack me with someone else he failed miserably and the last time he rushed in FFH he also failed miserably.
Maybe there is hope, after all. Maybe,

Nothing could be more entertaining. I wonder if he's stepped on the tile yet. I guess the forests would block his view.

Yeah, if he had found it and used it I don't think he'd still see me.

BW is 30 turns away. Calendar takes 12 turns. The plantation takes 3 turns before finishing, so I'd be making an additional 6 commerce for 15 turns = 90 beakers. Calendar is an 134 beakers. So I'd be down a few turns on getting BW, and tbh, I'm not sure how much I want to risk not having bronze weapons. Also need to consider that I need to tech Exploration, another 79 base beakers, for roads that I need to fight off PoW.
However, I agree that Calendar next would be the ideal tech path, preferably with Exploration 2nd and BW third I think, unless I expect to be able to build a Training Yard and upgrade my adventurer and C5 warrior to axes.
Either way, I've set up a chat with Serdoa tomorrow at 1400GMT, so by tomorrow evening I should know either way what I need to do.

Got an NAP with the Illians until t150, along with a border treaty, we can't settle any further west (on the bottom of the inland sea) than the column of tiles to the right of the Mirror of Heaven in the above picture. The upper lands anything goes. Serdoa is sending an email confirming the deal now.
That was a lot easier than I expected it to be.
EDIT: Here is the NAP.
Quote:Hi Krill,
below our agreement:
Krill and Serdoa hereby agree to a NAP till and including T150. This NAP includes a split of the land between the civilizations according to the following:
- the column of tiles with the Mirrors of Heaven on it won't be settled from anyone
- Krill won't settle west of this column of tiles
- Serdoa won't settle east of this column of tiles
- across the inland sea everyone is free to settle as he likes
To clarify the meaning of NAP, we agree that NAP does not only include any open aggression (declaring war, etc.) but also any kind of passive aggression (gifting gold to an enemy of the other civ, allowing other civs to move through your land to attack the other civ, etc.).
Let me know if you would like to add anything to that Krill.
Kind regards,
Serdoa
