Sunspear General in Two hours

For those interested in simply getting to general with 2,500 sunspear points asap, follow the order of quests and pathing in this thread. It took me two hours starting with a level 17 rit and level 14 heroes + sunspear sanctuary henchmen.

Main points:

Avoid (Run past or around) battles with mobs you do not have bounties for

Bee-line toward Priests with Bounty blessings

Collect quests in order and all at once for one area (done if this guide is followed)

Henchmen used:

Devona: Charge makes running around a lot nicer.
Mehnlo and/or Kihm: Healing's nice, feel free to substitute.
Cynn: Firepower. Fire. Power.

Heros:
Sousuke: Mark of Rodgort, Searing Flames, Glowing gaze, Meteor shower, A.echo, E management, Res.

Koss: Tactics W/R. Shields up, Watch yourself, Apply Poison, Cyclone axe.
I should've brought charge on Koss.

Dunkoro: Illusion/Domination mesmer

In short, any firepower from heroes is appreciated, which includes MM's. Devona's charge is also essential for cutting down time.

From Sunspear Sanctuary, take the exit out to Jahai Bluffs, and head south parallel to the road to Arkjok ward.

Entering from this path takes you directly to a Priest (pink dots) with a Kourna soldier hunt blessing. Follow the general direction of the blue line, killing kournans along the way. If you need to see a merchant, go to the island east of this top blue line. Yellow dots along this path will be required battles for your quest.

Once you've rescued Koss, return back to base

You must have Dunkoro in your party.

Take the path to the first Priest (pink dot), and gain Beast hunt. Optionally, head west along the blue line to the Kourna Soldier Priest (pink dot).

Regardless, head north along the red line to rescue your prisoners.

Avoid battles with mandragor in this area, as they do not count towards your rank.

You must have Melonni in your party.

Get your quest reward from Lonai, and pickup Building the Base: Interrogation from Dunkoro in Command post.

From Sunspear sanctuary, head south exiting to Marga Coast. Talk to Elder Jonah, Herdsman Zekanu, and Chuno (to your right), and get the quests:

Melonni's Mediations
Herds to the Slaughter
Drake in a cage

We'll be doing the first two in this area.

Y1: Follow the red path to Yellow dot 1 (Y1), to get the kourna soldier hunt.

Y2-3: Battles for Melonni's Mediation. Near Y3 along the red path, there's a insect hunt blessing, and a monk boss with Light of Deliverance. Eliminate them.

Y4: Head south from your two battles to where we meet the Herdsman's cows and start Herds to the slaughter.

Y5-6: Kourna soldiers will spawn and patrol south to these point and attack the cows. Intercept them. It is also possible to aggro most of the fort, including the Acolyte of Melandru, you move too far northward. Take care in where you plant your flags.

Y7: This is where we finish Melonni's mediations.

Y8-9: Building the Base: Interrogation. Quick quest and easy escort back east to the Sanctuary. Warning, do not enter sanctuary before quest updates, just come near the portal entrance. Reap your rewards.

As you enter the Command post, talk to Dunkoro and Koss, and pickup all their quests. You should gain Building the Base: the meeting, and Koss's elixir pluts two others.

Follow the blue line, update your quest at Yellow dot, and get the Kourna solider hunt blessing at Pink dot. Avoid killing Kournans until you do. Return and the soldiers will be ready for you to slaughter. Escort the npcs back to the base portal.

Reap the rewards from Lonai.

First, we'll take a side trip to Yohlon Haven. Talk to the Herbalist and update your quest.

Enter Arkjok ward from Sunspear sanctuary. The first shrine should have a plant bounty. Follow my path to hit all the Bounties quickly and efficiently, easily avoiding most non bounty traffic along the way.

At Orange dots, there are quests. Northern Orange is drake in a cage, Southern is the Herbalist.

The blessings are in the following order of pink dots:
Plant, Mandragor, Beasts (Ntouka birds and rhinos, Apes), Insect hunt, Elemental hunt (Stoneshard crags center, unpathed). The three eastern most shrines are to hunt Kournans.

Loosely follow the red path, and kill everything you have a bounty for in the southern teal area. Once you're at the end of this path, you'll meet the Herbalist, and can finish up that quest. Head back north and mop up everything north and finish drake in a cage.

Get your rewards, and return to Chuno in Margo Coast. He'll have another 100 pt quest for you: Feeding Frenzy

Get the Kourna Solider Bounty, and start feeding Toma by targetting kournan soldiers! Insects are too fragile to feed Toma, but Kournans sure work well.

Just a note on Kihm. She's a healer throughout the Istani game (including Consulate Docks mission). The moment Mhenlo becomes available, Kihm switches to protection.

Regarding Devona and "Charge!" there are a couple of energy based Paragon shouts under Command attribute that can also work for those with the unlocks who can spare a hero with boosted secondary to handle some shouting.

Much agreed. There are many ways to move faster and kill faster, especially with Paragon shouts Godspeed and Fall back, but honestly... I did this with a Rit who did her nails while I watched tv. The hero/henches did the work, I relaxed.

It appears Foreign chars don't need to farm their way to Sunspear General anymore.

I think what you meant to say was "Foreign characters don't have any reason to farm to Sunspear General anymore." They certainly never needed to unless the player had a strong aversion to questing. tongue
