And I only finished SP games twice ever, and that was like a month ago. With overpowered civs anyway (Keelyn, and Lanun --> Hyborem rush).
As I was just telling Gaspar, there's always next game . I know you're busy at the moment, but don't give up on RB entirely.

For the purposes of reporting, we lost Rainy Day Women, Mary Jane and The Chronic this past turn. We're down to Cypress Hill, Paradise City, Kaya and Afro Man. There's really nothing we can do at this point, the treants are but a minor irritation because they move too slowly to build a choke so he throws a few of his billion spectres at them and then bypasses them to hit the city. I expect to lose Paradise City this next turn. Beyond that - I'm not sure he can make it to Cypress Hill and Kaya until the turn after.
Anyway, we should probably be out of the game roughly around the time March of the Trees wears off.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I'm not surprised. Once Dave proved he could power through Mardero and the Beasts with enough spectres, Treants alone weren't going to have a chance.
At least he's being quick about it, so the pain won't be drawn out. I expect Lewwyn and Brian to fall as soon as their NAPs expire; there's no way they have something that can stand up to this many keelyn-mages.

Well, facing it in action I think the mistake we made (other than the obvious obvious of losing the main stack with nothing) is that the best place to face these guys was on the attack. Unfortunately, we didn't go all-in on the attack soon enough - but that 20 unit stack wasn't going to do enough anyway. There's no possible way to defend against a swarm that large with the units we have available, other than having spammed Diseased Corpses for ages and having a half dozen on every tile. That's the sheer volume of this attack.
That said if I had it to do over I'd find a way to get longbows. Being able to draft a strong unit would have greatly improved our numbers and strength. I feel like I'm having a laugh clicking the draft button and popping out warriors. Even the Swords from Cypress Hill are a bit embarrassing. The real key to this was getting some strong T3 units in the field - its pretty apparent this is the Clowns entire wad - and while its impressive, if you get enough of something stronger in the field, you can hold them off. And if they can't keep advancing, eventually you can get at their mages.
Anyway, it was a lot of fun while we were in it and I'm glad Dave's ending it quickly.

This goes back to something we said way back in the game. It's difficult to magic up an army quickly in FFH. In this case, part of the problem is not pausing for the military buildings - an archery range or two might have made a difference.
It's worth also noting that whatever is stomping all over us now would have been a lot worse if Nicolae hadn't wiped out Gibbon. It might have kicked things off a little earlier than we really wanted, but throwing all his summons on top of this carpet would have been brutal!
We built a pretty strong economy, picked up some good military techs AND (briefly) had the second biggest army in the game. None of that has done us much good though.
I'm interested to see what Brian can do with his Sanctuary time (apart from watch Lewwyn get slaughtered). Do the Elohim hold enough land to block domination?

Oh, heck, if we're going to talk about 'what if's...what if Kyan had popped a Mistform instead of dwarves v. lizards way back when? Or a Great Sage?
All you can do is the best you can do. Sure, maybe we'd have been able to overcome the current clown if we'd been able to stack Mardero, the beasts, and a dozen Diseased Corpses, but maybe not. At least we put up a good show.

Blew through the turn, sorry no screenshots - imagine a billion spectres/skeletons puppets throughtout our lands and me flailing away with Treants. Lost no cities, though.
We'll lose Paradise City next turn for sure and possibly one of Cypress Hill/Kaya. Afro Man will be the last man standing simply due to location.
Like I said, I'm glad at least that the hopeless part is going quickly.

Lost Paradise City. Kaya and Cypress Hill likely to go down next turn. No way he can get Afro Man next turn I don't think, so I'll take a few screenshots of the bloodbath next turn which should be the last or maybe second last.
Sorry the reporting has been so lame but I'm not really doing anything but being overwhelmed. The game was lost when I lost the first 20-unit stack on the wardec and then compounded when the 8-unit stack protecting Where Its At from the hill border was dispatched with ease. I've killed 2 Adepts and that's it for real units. Really just an embarrassing onslaught, I apologize for laming out with the reporting.

Yeah, that's how I felt in PBEM2. I suggest holing up in your last city for about 20 turns to spite your opponents.

I think you should suggest something within the realm of possibility.
